-Create a proposed budget and project plan for new video productions and prospective clients.
-Owns project budgets and adjusts accordingly to ensure projects are on or under budget.
-Manages all aspects of project schedules, including guiding projects through post production to final delivery.
-Primarily responsible for client relationships and fulfillment of client goals.
-Works with SJS Directors to establish a project’s creative approach.
-Coordinates shoots, including:
Crew coordination.
Talent and local contacts.
Equipment Needs (camera package, grip & electric, etc).
Art Department (Props, set pieces, wardrobe, etc).
Location Needs (location agreements, insurance, access, & parking).
-Responsible for the health and safety of crews while they’re in the field.
-Works with the Production Supervisor to book crew.
-Briefs the field team (Field Producer, DP, Cam-Ops, etc) before each shoot, and debriefs after each shoot.
-In conjunction with the project’s Director, works with the Editor to successfully achieve project goals.

The position of the Producer, Client Services at Memoir Agency, LLC is an important management role. The Producer manages key client projects and events and may also supervise a team. The role includes a broad range of client work, including events, experiential infrastructure, content creation, and consulting. Management responsibilities include the coordination and completion of events and projects and events on time, within budget, and within scope.

The Producer oversees all aspects of projects and events assigned to them: sets deadlines, assigns responsibilities and monitors and summarizes the progress of a project. This individual also runs project meetings and prepares reports for upper management regarding the status of events and projects and events led by the Producer.

The Producer works directly with clients to ensure deliverables fall within the approved scope and budget. They are expected to coordinate with and organize individuals from other Memoir departments to ensure all aspects of each project or event are consistent with the goals of the client and the company. For example, when executing an event or project that requires built elements, the Producer will work closely with Memoir’s Build team. The Producer is expected to identify personnel requirements for her or his team, present recommendations to upper management, and when directed, to hire new talent as needed to fulfill client needs.

The Producer may from time to time be requested to collaborate with Memoir's Producer, Owned Events when workflow warrants.

Key Responsibilities:

Client Management:

-Establish, maintain, and manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders.

-Meet with clients on a regular basis to review, clarify, and discuss specific requirements of each project or event.

Financial Management:

-Prepare and review with Memoir leadership, project and event budgets, using Memoir’s systems and tools.

-Track project or event budgets and review material changes with Memoir leadership.

-Report and escalate to management any budget issues, as needed.

Project Management:

-Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of client events and projects and events.

-Ensure that all projects and events are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget.

-Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.

-Ensure resource availability and allocation as needed throughout the duration of the project or event.

-Manage changes to the project or event scope, project schedule and forecast costs using Memoir’s systems and tools.

-Perform risk management to minimize project and event risks.

-Develop and track comprehensive project schedules, using Memoir’s systems, to be shared with clients as well as other staff members who have project responsibility.

-Report and escalate to management any project issues or newsworthy items, as needed.

-Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation in accordance with Memoir’s practices.

-Track project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short and long-term goals using Memoir’s systems and tools.

-As needed, to produce or assist in producing cross-departmentally when workload allows.

Work Hours

Memoir operates with a hybrid office schedule, currently requiring Tuesday and Thursday presence in the Memoir office. This is subject to change at the discretion of the company.

Work hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30AM to 5:30PM. This role requires flexibility to adjust work hours and days, depending on project workflow and requirements of projects managed by the Producer. The Producer should expect some work will be required on weekends or holidays.

Qualifications & Skills

-Proven working experience in project and major event management.Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills.
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

-Proficient at developing and tracking budgets.

Education and Experience:

-Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

-Proficiency in relevant (event or project planning, budgeting, scheduling) software and technology.

-Experience managing budgets.

Your New Role...

The live aspects of the *** Newsource business are among the core contract obligations with *** 's affiliate partners. The live Content Producer programs live event channels, responds to affiliate requests, and field produces for *** Newsource Correspondents. The Content Producer coordinates facilities for affiliate stations, books live shots for *** and Newsource correspondents, and troubleshoots technical issues. When producing in the field, this person handles all logistic and editorial support for reporters covering breaking news and big events. The Content Producer also supports affiliates traveling with Newsource crews. When not in the field, Content Producers can find themselves in the control room, line producing live shots or writing packages. Some of the types of packages include breaking news, news of the day, health, consumer, and trending topics. The bulk of the Content Producer's time is spent at the Live Desk, where Content Producers ensure our 17+ live channels are thoughtfully programmed and robust with regional and national news. The events include live news conferences, aerials and ground shots of breaking stories, presidential trips, court proceedings, and much more. In addition, a Content Producer serves as customer ser *** representatives to our affiliate partners, acting as a liaison *** ween the local newsroom and the *** network.

Content Producers operate within a 24-hour environment - flexible working hours, such as during early mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays are a must.

Your Role Accountabilities...

Live Programming/Promotion Partner with *** Newsgathering, International Newsgathering, *** Bureaus, and Newsource Newsgathering to ensure affiliate broadcast and livestream access to live events being brought into the network. Using a Vue, producers employ editorial judgement to route live events onto one of the 17+ HD channels of *** Newsource (Satellite, TVU grid and LiveU matrix) while communicating plans within the Newsource portal, email outlooks, audio alert system and Newsource social *** .
Affiliate Coordination Manage affiliate requests for *** and *** Newsource correspondent live shots, reserve *** facilities to accommodate guests or affiliate reporters, troubleshoot technical issues while serving as a customer ser *** representative to meet affiliate needs. Work with *** 's National Content Center and Planning Desk to coordinate satellite truck deployment, field crew assignments and travel for breaking news stories.
Package Writing Writes and produces franchise packages (health, consumer, trending) and day-of news packages that meet all legal, ethical, and journalistic standards of *** while also clearing video and text contained within the pieces. Collaborates with Newsource technical director, affiliate control room, and field crews to coordinate live product.
Field Producing and Live Logistics Travel on breaking and planned news events to field produce for *** and *** Newsource correspondents reporting live for affiliates. The duties include handling travel and other crew logistics (credentials, site-surveys, etc.), editorial producing for the correspondent, communicating plans with the live desk and *** network teams, working with the Newsource Control Room all while ensuring the Newsource crew's needs are considered and covered.

Qualifications & Experience...

Mandatory 5 years broadcast newsroom experience as a reporter, producer, on the assignment desk or similar. Affiliate experience is preferred.
Bachelor's degree in journalism, mass communication or a like field of study required.
3 years field production experience
Fantastic writers with impeccable news judgment and knowledge. True consumers of news.
The ideal candidate is collaborative, motivated, driven, has a positive attitude, and is a self-starter who can be flexible to travel during breaking news yet primarily works in our newsroom
