The Role

Responsibilities

Be the leading voice of dubbing production and accessibility assets in the respective dubbing market. This team will manage multiple large-scale dubbing projects (long-form and short-form dubbing as well as accessibility assets) across a wide range of English partners and languages for *** original titles.

Working closely with Global Resource Strategy to regularly evaluate vendor strategy in the territory through data and expertise.
Accommodate and/or provide risk assessment for any special upstream localization requests in the territory. Address, resolve, and escalate issues and concerns as needed.
Closely monitor activities of actors unions/guilds that could i *** uence pricing and general market behavior.
Initiate, support, and collaborate with cross-functional partners on Inclusion and diversity initiatives to ensure our strategy is consistent across the organization.

The subject matter expert for dubbing production workflows within their language covers the detection, transformation, and adaptation processes and supports the Dubbing Strategy and Innovation roadmap.
Participate in the tests, and quality control of SV (for AD, lip sync, and VO, core assets roll-out, machine translation testing, etc.)

A minimum of 5-10 years of dubbing title/language management experience (creative/operations, respectively).

Summary:

Production Management is accountable for the four main project functions of Financial accountability, Process accountability, Schedule/Calendar accountability & Task Completion accountability. The Assistant Production Manager participates in these four main functions at a variety of levels, depending upon the individual project scope/need:

Job Description: Manager, Unscripted Production

Role summary:

The Unscripted Production Manager will oversee and follow up the internal and operational processes of production. This role will budget the different type of unscripted formats, the position will collaborate with the structure of all projects from a creative and production perspective must have ample experience in the creation and production of Unscripted Formats.

Core Responsibilities:

Make the budgets for different type of unscripted formats
Maintain and supervise the department schedule and budget, making sure target dates.
Monitoring and Supervision of Unscripted Productions according to the Sony's processes Support Unscripted department designing process and production strategy.
Work hand in hand with the production crews in the different Unscripted Shows.
On-going search of new talent, both for production, directing and writing that effectively covers the needs of the Unscripted Area.
Work in collaboration with the Unscripted department for building the structure of the projects from a creative and production perspective from their inception, writing, production, and sale, until the process of the final delivery to the client.
Identify the characteristics and key elements of the genre that are currently dominating the market.
Understand audience's consumer behaviors and needs in regard to the genre, in order to evaluate and determine possible future developments and productions.
Come up with ideas for Unscripted development projects.
Continuous search of new projects and ideas that match the requirements of the genre.
Take responsibility and creative input during the development of material for the projects that so require it.
Ensure proper preparation for all meetings and reviews.
Take thorough notes and distribute.
Work with the Department Head on delegating assignments and deliveries.
Performs other related tasks as required.

Preferred Education:

BA or BS degree in Communication, Production or related area;

Knowledge:

Languages: Advanced / Fluent in English.

Advanced level -Microsoft office, Excel & Word
Adobe graphic design package

Manager, Production Operations

Overview and Responsibilities:

*** Global is seeking a Manager of Production Operations! This person will work other members of the Production Management department to supervise the daily operations of the productions inside the Broadcast Center. The Broadcast Center is a premiere production facility that is used for a variety of internal *** Global productions as well as 3rd party outside business productions. The Manager, Production Operations serves as the liaison *** ween the production and the facility management to ensure that the client receives the highest level of ser *** to meet their daily needs.

Responsibilities include:

· Manage and coordinate the daily studio operations of various productions

· Responsible for maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.

· Manage the below-the-line personnel assigned to the production.

· Work directly with the client (Directors, Producers, Managers, etc.) and other MPO and *** departments to facilitate below-the-line production planning and execution.

· Work closely with Scheduling & Planning on the final actualization and billing of work orders in the *** Internal database, *** Pulse.

· Troubleshoot issues that occur during production and production adhere to CBA rules for *** union employees.

· Manage and track all below-the-line production costs and billing and work closely with both MPO Finance and Accounting to ensure accurate and timely billing as well as financial reporting for each production.

· Check-in and coordinate all live remotes including satellite, fiber, zoom, Skype, etc. to ensure that remote guests and talent can hear the control room

· Ensure that remote guests and talent can hear the control room and that the control can see and hear the remote

· Ensure that the audio, video, Director and AD know how to see, hear and speak to the remote talent.

· Troubleshoot any issues with the remote.

Basic Qualifications:

· 5+ years of experience working in a Live Control Room environment.

· 5+ years of experience and knowledge of studio production requirements

· Knowledge of technical facilities and transmission

Additional Qualifications:

· Bachelor's degree in Broadcasting or Management preferred.

· Computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office 365, especially Excel, and database entry

· Knowledge and or experience working in a union environment.

· Ability to work in a fast paced, high-pressure environment

· Must be flexible and work nights and/or weekends

· Ability to multitask, problem solve multiple issues at any given time

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Hiring Salary Range: $86,000.00 - 115,000.00.

The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York City, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement. This position is bonus eligible.
