DLP seeks a Post Production Supervisor to oversee a diverse array of post production projects, including sports television, longform documentaries, and commercials.
Ideal candidates will possess strong technical expertise and managerial experience in media management, to off-line editing and finishing.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Project Management:
Partner with the production team to develop post-production schedules, budgets, and deliverables.
Design and maintain a detailed post-production plan, covering timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
Track project progress, pinpoint potential issues or delays, and devise solutions to maintain project timelines.
Liaise with external vendors or freelancers as necessary to complete project components.
Team Management:
Lead and mentor the post-production team, including editors, assistant editors, and media managers.
Delegate tasks, set priorities, and offer guidance to ensure efficient and high-quality output.
Cultivate a positive and collaborative work environment, encouraging effective communication and teamwork within the post-production team.
Report project status, progress, and potential issues to stakeholders clearly and promptly.
Quality Control:
Ensure all post-production deliverables meet technical and creative standards, including video/audio quality, color grading, visual effects, and overall aesthetic consistency.
Review rough cuts, graphics, visual effects, and other elements, providing feedback to ensure alignment with project goals.
Implement quality control processes, including testing, reviewing, and approving final deliverables before distribution or broadcast.
Industry Knowledge and Continuous Improvement:
Stay current on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in post-production workflows.
Recommend and implement new tools, software, or techniques to enhance the post-production process.
