Role Overview: As the National Sales Manager, you will spearhead the national sales efforts for both markets, overseeing a dynamic team focused on driving revenue growth for our *** affiliates and digital platforms, including our PREMION OTT platform, to our regional and national client base.
Reporting directly to the Director of Sales, and collaborating closely with our major accounts, sales managers, and local account executives, you'll play a pivotal role in expanding and evolving our business by delivering tailored customer solutions across integrated platforms. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in our community each day.
This position is eligible for the company's incentives compensation structure.
The right candidate can be located in Columbia, SC, Greensboro, NC, Charlotte, NC, Atlanta, GA, or New York, NY, or any market with *** properties.
Responsibilities:
- Lead all national advertising sales efforts, including negotiations and transactions, to achieve or surpass assigned budget and market share goals for the assigned *** markets.
- Identify and cultivate revenue opportunities with new and existing national advertisers across all platforms for the assigned *** markets.
- Collaborate closely with the Director of Sales and Local Sales Manager to strategically price and manage the inventory for all assigned markets' accounts.
- Act as a strategic marketing consultant to national accounts, leveraging station marketing materials for effective marketing plans and sponsorship opportunities.
- Negotiate and secure NTR/sponsorship/new business opportunities to maximize revenue potential.
- Ensure effective audience positioning for rate and business share, handling avails, Paid Programming avails, and placement.
- Track performance metrics and oversee all aspects of national order management, including pre-logs, posts, pre-empts, make goods, and AR.
- Travel as needed to foster and maintain successful relationships with buyers, planners, and clients.
- Assist the Director of Sales with special projects as required including political.
Requirements:
- 5-7 years of broadcast sales experience, with a proven track record of achieving or exceeding national sales goals in the broadcast TV sales industry.
- Familiarity with political advertising regulations for candidates and issue advertisers.
- Strong leadership skills and a passion for driving sales growth, coupled with exceptional sales and customer ser *** abilities.
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and various sales and analytics tools including Wide Orbit Sales, Share Builders, Wide Orbit Traffic & Wide Orbit Analytics, ComScore, Matrix, and *** Monitors.
- Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and projects under deadline pressure, with meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
