Core Responsibilities:

Manage end to end creation of news stories for all platforms, including editing of video
Write conversational, factual and ethical copy that provides the appropriate depth and context
React quickly to breaking news and weather
Actively participate in editorial meetings and pitch stories regularly
Strong organizational and time management skills
Collaboration through strong communication skills
Exhibit confidence and adaptability in the control room

Basic Qualifications:

3+ years of experience producing in a medium to large market
Degree in journalism or related field preferred
Must exhibit deep understanding of journalistic principals and ethics

Must be able to meet deadlines and work under pressure
Prior desktop editing experience preferred
Must be willing to work different shifts, including overnights and weekends.
