Elite Daily is looking for an experienced video editor to work with creative producers on an established daily show based in Los Angeles, CA. The Elite Daily Show has been active for over a year, and produced over 325 daily episodes since September of 2015. An ideal candidate will have experience working in the fast-paced digital world but also have a strong understanding of traditional media. We are a small team that collaborates on all parts of the production including editing and we are looking for someone who is a problem-solver and will be excited about tackling new and difficult editing projects. A qualified applicant has a wide range of creative styles, excellent technical ability and can translate the director’s vision while adding meaningful creative input.

Technical Requirements

• Impressive reel (please send link to your reel with your application).

• Solid experience working with major video post-production software specifically Adobe Premiere, After Effects and Photoshop.

• Experience in all aspects of post-production including, editing, compositing, green screen, retouching, format conversion, encoding, sound production, sound recording, sound design, compression and mastering.

• Experience in a multitude of digital editing workflows and digital formats.

• Experience with on-site production media management and video card management.

Creative Requirements

•Extensive knowledge and appreciation of important editors, filmmakers, directors and other new digital influencers.

• Familiar with other online editing styles found in: online daily video series, YouTube, social media sites and non-traditional video series.

• Knowledge of popular culture, current events and trending topics.

• General music production, sound editing and sound design.

Job Description
Finance news brand is seeking an experienced video editor to edit engaging, informative and timely video features, recurring series episodes and in-depth interviews. The video editor will regularly work on segments ranging from eight to 10 minutes with opportunities to expand stories to 25 minutes for OTT platforms.

These originals will be expected to capture viewers' attention through their sharp perspective, approachable style, and clear relevance to the biggest investments and financial questions investors face. You will help spearhead execution across a range of programming formats.

You will work closely with reporters, studio, graphics, and more to elevate brand’s feature video stories. You will be expected to be a strong collaborator and execute an efficient video production process to ensure clean, final delivery. Strong candidates will be comfortable balancing a variety of projects and deadlines while working with different producers.

Responsibilities:
- Edit original features using Adobe Premiere, for audiences across our daily live distribution onsite and off, YouTube, and major social platforms.
- Help conceptualize, manage and execute visually dynamic, original edits in a deadline-driven environment.
- Stay up-to-date on the workings of company systems including proprietary infrastructures, working with the post support team to source and acquire assets as necessary for projects.

NewsNation is currently searching for a freelance editor for our national newscasts, for our national newscasts, based in our new New York *** , with the opportunity for full-time staff positions as operations expand.

This opportunity is for someone that doesn't mind rolling up their sleeves and do something few have done before - launch a new 24-hour news network.

Job Description:

Editing assignments will range from quick voice overs, news packaged, to long form documentary style pieces, and maintain sound news judgment
Performs special projects and other duties as assigned.

Q ualifications:

Five plus (5+) years' editing experience in fast-paced live television environment required
Must be proficient in Adobe Premiere.
Must work well in a collaborative team environment, be able to multitask. A pr oblem solver and quick thinker to resolve existing issues and to find work arounds.
Working knowledge of common business software applications, particularly Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
Must be self-sufficient and have a "press-on-regardless" attitude.
All day parts (mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays) may be a part of the schedule with overtime as situations demand.3
Bachelor's degree in Communications or related field preferred.
