**** TV, the *** -owned *** affiliate in the Harrisburg-Lancaster-Lebanon-York, PA market, is looking for an Executive Producer who can oversee fast-paced morning newscasts in a rapidly growing news market. We need a driven, organized leader who can articulate a vision for our shows and lead a team toward that vision. You are a leader who can develop multi-platform content that succeeds on-air, on mobile, and on social *** . The Executive Producer is responsible for the overall look and feel of assigned newscasts, management of all aspects of breaking news, and social engagement. The right candidate must be a pro when it comes to effective communication and decision-making under daily deadline pressure. You can juggle both the "right now" news while also planning enterprise morning coverage days and weeks in advance. The Executive Producer will work on recruiting producers and work closely with the News Director to implement winning strategies. The ideal candidate has an aggressive approach to Breaking News when it comes and, when it doesn't, can still oversee a compelling product that delivers interesting and relevant content to our viewers. You must also be a coach and leader with the communications skills to make those you supervise *** ter. You will report to the News Director.

Job Responsibilities

Work with newsroom managers and colleagues to craft and carry out successful news strategies rooted in research and experience
Oversight of the preparation of a rundown and scripts for morning newscasts
Oversight of the use of all our graphics resources to enhance our presentation
Coaching producers, reporters, photojournalists, and assignment editors
Research, pitch, and gather enterprise news stories
Responding to breaking news
Oversight of digital response to breaking news and social *** engagement
Writing compelling news stories in active voice
Meeting deadlines
News gathering
Boothing and producing newscasts when needed
Posting stories and videos on all web platforms (website, social *** , etc)
Must perform administrative duties including scheduling, performance reviews, training and providing critical feedback
Communicating effectively with news staff, promotions, and production/engineering
In-person attendance is required

Requirements:

3 years of producing experience
Demonstrated experience in writing and be able to think visually
Have a strong sense of audience desires
Possess outstanding communication skills
Ability to multi-task and coordinate several crews and responsibilities simultaneously
Can summarize information into easy-to-understand components
Creative presentation style, and ability to showcase all resources and elements
Unwavering journalistic integrity and ethical standards
Related experience and/or training considered as well as a combination of education and experience

This role requires strong journalism skills and experience to oversee news content for overall fairness, balance, and accuracy on all digital platforms. The ideal candidate will guide a team to produce daily news content and oversee the production of special programming in the digital sphere. You will work closely with digital and broadcast producers, reporters, and newsroom leaders on daily content and coverage. As a newsroom leader, the expectation is that the Executive Producer will lead by example and be able to teach the use of digital and social tools and strategy to new employees.

Responsibilities of our Digital Executive Producer will include:

Oversee daily digital publishing to ensure we are serving our local communities by sharing relevant information to alert, protect, and empower our audiences

Manage newsroom and handle breaking news situations to empower and grow our audiences

Proven track record of creating compelling and engaging stories across multiple platforms to accepted journalistic standards of fairness and accuracy
Ability to perform well under pressure, experience managing breaking news, and meeting strict deadlines
Ability to identify problems and provide solutions
A strong commitment to journalistic standards and ethics
Extraordinary people skills with an emphasis on coaching and motivating
Strong understanding of how to drive digital traffic
Minimum of 2 years experience producing content in a television news environment or equivalent
A college degree in Journalism or a related field is preferred
Strong writing skills and a proven track record for getting results on initiatives
Understanding how to interpret the newsroom brand in the digital sphere without resorting to clickbait

The base hourly compensation range for this role is $19.00 to $21.50 per hour. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidates' relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location.
