Job Description

Do you love pop culture and entertainment news? What about trends, viral videos, and social *** ? Access Hollywood is looking for a Field Producer to deliver and execute creative content around a variety of topics including entertainment news, human interest, and celebrity features. Reporting to the Executive Producer and Supervising Producers, as well as working closely with our Production teams, this role will be responsible for the execution of daily editorial content covering an array of topics in a variety of forms, from breaking news to red carpets to oversight and execution of package pieces.

This position will crash day of air pieces and breaking news, so writing, edit, and strong storytelling skills are a must. This position will produce in the field and at offsite interviews when needed, source and advance news stories, and work well within a team environment. Must be comfortable developing ideas that work across all *** including on air, digital, and social *** .

Essential Responsibilities

• Oversee creative segments under the direction of the EP, Co-EP, and Supervising Producers as well as work closely with Production team members to ensure budget expectations are met, staffing needs are communicated, and post/deliverables are executed on time.
• Be a one-person band when necessary, crashing day of air pieces for broadcast with quick turnarounds.
• Contribute towards building the brand identity by being able to take information and create engaging and interactive formats in which the viewer can participate.
• Write scripts and execute story telling visually through the selection of appropriate still and video images within budget and time parameters and while maintaining factual accuracy.
• Attend junkets, premieres and other outside events, including award shows, to execute news coverage.
• Must demonstrate pop culture passion, entertainment news authority and active participation and awareness of the importance of social *** to the entertainment news genre.
• Work directly with talent, ensuring proper communication on site in regard to segment expectations and goals through research and consistent updates
• Oversee content from conceptualization through the various stages of execution, including: Research/ Writing/ Producing/ Post and Voiceover direction.
• Identify and pitch story opportunities, finding the unique story angle while maintaining factual accuracy.
• Basic knowledge of editing desired, but willingness to learn is sufficient, with expectation that material can be delivered from producer directly to studio when necessary.
• Book guests and human-interest stories as necessary and in conjunction with talent bookers.
• Diligent about production paperwork including shoot reports and music reporting, legal guidelines, journalistic standards, and adhering to the on-air working practices.
• Flexibility in role within the team and within the company, including working across multiple formats and departments as needed.
• Strong communicator who can work closely with team members and talent, take and deliver feedback constructively, and contribute to an environment of communication and accountability.

Qualifications

Basic Requirements:

• 5+ years experience in a similar role within a television broadcast, news station, or network.
• Experience with iNews preferred.
• Must have ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings.

Job Description

Field Producer, ***

The Field Producer brainstorms and pitches ideas, researches topics and works closely with reporter(s) to advance stories, break news and produce segments both in studio and in the field.

What you'll do:

• Working both independently and with reporters/anchors to produce original business news content, primarily for broadcast and additionally for digital and social.
• Production responsibilities may include research, conducting interviews, writing and editing, field producing and overseeing editing.
• Pitching story ideas and working on assigned stories developed by the editorial planning team.
• Establishing and maintaining relationships with, and being knowledgeable of and current on companies in the universe of coverage.
• Communicating clearly with reporter and field production crews to determine best coverage plan and live remote locations.
• Maintaining all video/digital records, feed necessary and relevant video to bureau/headquarters, communicate to editors and/or desk producers how video should be cut/taken to air.
• Communicating with *** News desk editors on available live times, understanding and owning all live hit requests, disseminating hit times to reporter and team on the ground. In the bureau/studio, working with reporter on day-of-air hits. Locating all video needed whether it be in-house archival or acquired through shoots, satellite feeds, company hand-outs.

*** is looking for a proactive journalist who is passionate about Asia and would relish the challenge of becoming a Field Producer based in our Japan bureau. The successful candidate will be primarily assigned to stories in Japan but may be required to cover news anywhere in the world.

The Field Producer is part of *** 's award winning International Newsgathering operation. Responsibilities include coming up with ideas for distinctive stories, researching them and making successful pitches to editorial leaders. The successful candidate will then see stories through to broadcast and publication. He/she will work closely with television and digital staff on all stories so having good communication skills is essential. He/she will also be charged with identifying news stories/breaking news stories from Japan on any given day and flagging to the desk as well as driving with the newsgathering efforts around those stories.

Field Producers work hand in glove with some of the world's most respected correspondents and will be required to operate at the highest standard. During the course of managing a story, the successful candidate will ensure that legal and editorial integrity issues are handled according to company policy. Producers are also required to work up budgets for stories and ensure those budgets are adhered to.

Breaking news is a key component of what *** does. Field Producers are often deployed into the field to cover a wide range of stories including riots, natural disasters, wars, terrorist attacks, big political developments and a whole lot more. Your Role Accountabilities...

• The Field Producer is a key position which requires making editorial decisions, coordinating logistics and overseeing the quality of our news coverage in the field and in the bureau. This person will be in charge of live producing, package producing, coordinating breaking news events and working with our security experts to ensure that safety is managed properly.
  
• A Field Producer must also have a strong understanding of both television and digital requirements and be able to produce content to a high standard.
  
• The successful candidate must have strong writing skills. Stories usually require copious amounts of research, vetting appropriate sources for information and obtaining the right video/stills. The length of a Field Producer's day varies depending on the news agenda and may differ when working in the bureau or on assignment.

Job Summary/Description:

13 News is seeking an executive producer to join our team - but it's different than any you've ever experienced. This management position is responsible for the training and development of our producers, from onboarding entry-level producers to providing advanced critiques to veteran producers. The ideal candidate has several years of producing experience, a love of teaching, and the creativity required to work with different styles of learners. They will work with our current curriculum as well as develop new courses and workshops not only for bringing people up to speed with the expectations of our station but also for our Development Days. The ideal candidate also has experience providing coaching and mentoring feedback on both scripts and performance to on-air talent.

Duties/Responsibilities include (but not limited to):

• Employ, create, and adapt curriculum for onboarding entry-level through experienced producers and MMJ/reporters
• Train new producers
• Provide coaching and feedback to producers as they move beyond the training process

• Work closely with other newsroom managers daily to ensure newscasts are clean, accurate, and compelling

**** - *** 48 is currently seeking a Producer/Content Producer who will work closely with assignment editors, reporters, and anchors to produce, write, edit, and gather content on all **** platforms, both linear and digital, including FAST in Spanish. This individual will be responsible for writing, editing, building graphics, and sometimes video recording material.

This candidate MUST be able to produce 2- 30-minute Spanish language newscasts on any platform with short notice and wall-to-wall breaking news coverage.

• Must be knowledgeable on daily news events, aware of past events, and understand news in the Northern & Central California market.
• Must speak, write, and read Spanish.
• The ideal Producer/Content Producer candidate is expected to be a key communicator in the newsroom, talking with each person who will participate or provide content for that newscast.
• Must possess strong interpersonal and communication skills that allow for collaboration with managers, the digital team, and the assignment desk to deliver complete, fair, and accurate local news coverage.
• Be a key contributor to story ideas, participate in daily coverage decisions, and be a leader during editorial meetings.
• Must be able to line-produce newscasts in Spanish.
• Quickly adjust to late changes and be aggressive in breaking news coverage.
• Must understand the station's mission and priorities.
• Stay on top of the latest graphic tools to visually enhance and showcase stories.

• Write news scripts and edit video clips.
• Must be able to produce under heavy deadline pressure without compromising credibility.
• Conceptualize, write, and edit stories in different formats (VO, VO/SOT & PKG)
• Coordinate script and storyline with correct video sources and graphics

• Log news and inform the content producer of available material that can be used in the newscast

Your Impact

The *** Magazines Enthusiast & Wellness Group is looking for a versatile, data-motivated Digital Content Producer to join our reviews team and help grow our product review content on Popular Mechanics. This role works closely with editors in all departments, from our in-house testing team to our SEO department, and will support content that covers a wide range of subjects.

The ideal candidate can find their way around a CMS, works quickly and efficiently, loves researching products, and has basic photo editing and data analytics skills. Popular Mechanics is the authority in a number of key categories including lawn and garden, tools and home improvement, electronics and technology, appliances and smart homes, and outdoor leisure. You'll have the opportunity to touch content that reaches over 8 million users per month. This is a content creation role, not a writing-based role, however there will be some opportunity to write during major sale events so digital editorial experience is a must.

This role sits in the Enthusiast Group office in New York, NY and works closely with a variety of departments, including Editorial, Data, and more.

What you'll do:

• Build and produce content in our CMS for contributors and full-time staff
