Established hit doc-series is looking for one outstanding field producer/multi-cam director to join the team!

REQUIREMENTS:
As Camera Director:
-Must have extensive experience field directing multi-camera crews (2-3 cameras)
-Must be able to lead a field crew, exude patience, respect and keep the crew morale up.
-Must be a leader and set the tone for the team, but also work well within the team too. We don't have room for ego's or attitudes on our shoots/show- everyone is vital and integral in getting great content. Nothing is below anyone here. We all work together to make a great show.

As Field Producer:
-Must be great with story and able to track multiple story lines unfolding in the field before you. No matter what you prepared to shoot, when something bigger/better or unexpected happens, must be able to adjust to new developments and track those new stories, sometimes throwing out the original plan all together
-Must be excellent and super approachable with talent as well as know how to build quick and trusting relationships off camera in order to get the best on camera content. Furthermore- must be excellent at maintaining those relationships long term. This isn't a show with a constantly changing cast. The relationships we have with our cast already span Close to a decade so it's vital that you're dedicated to building but also maintaining your relationships with a large cast (and crew alike)
-Must be able to connect with a myriad of personalities- some are easy, some are difficult
-Must be willing to be on camera when the 4th wall is broken around story

Position: Is "Field Producer" and encompasses field producer who also directs multi-cameras and crew simultaneously
**You Must have experience and know how to produce talent and track story while simultaneously calling camera shots and looking for the best visual ways to tell the story. Writers tell their stories with pen and paper. A painter expresses their vision on canvas. In TV, cameras are our medium. We need producers who remember that and understand how to elevate the story and content with great shooting/visuals.

Prep, Travel & Shoots
-This job preps in NYC so must be able to be in NYC to work with your AP prepping your shoots
-Must stay in constant contact with your talent to get story/life updates and plan upcoming shoots
-Must be able to travel to locations nationally for shoots frequently...Sometimes with plenty of prep time, sometimes at a moments notice. The doc element of this project means we need to often fly with no notice to cover breaking story.
-Must be ok traveling/working weekends- we often shoot on weekends- more than not.
-Prep: Responsible for creating beat sheets/shooting schedules
-In field: must be great with time management and report daily to Co-EP with shoot/story updates
-In field: You will be responsible for creating nightly hot sheets and making sure they're sent out nightly to Co-EP and Supervisors

Ultimately, we're looking for that rare, special field producer out there that has the ability and confidence to "go with the flow" & truly have fun in the field, create and maintain a super positive working environment for the cast AND crew alike, but equally be focused, dedicated and know how to get the stories and pieces needed to tell them without burning bridges with the cast.

Job Description
BYUtv is seeking an innovative and experienced freelance unscripted producer to work as a network producer for BYUtv. You will oversee a variety of unscripted programming from initial development through current production and final delivery. Reporting to the Executive Producer and Supervising Producers, as well as working closely with our Production teams, this role will be responsible for the execution of daily editorial content covering an array of topics in a variety of forms, from breaking news to red carpets to oversight and execution of package pieces.

This position will crash day of air pieces and breaking news, so writing, edit, and strong storytelling skills are a must. This position will produce in the field and at offsite interviews when needed, source and advance news stories, and work well within a team environment. Essential Responsibilities

Oversee creative segments under the direction of the EP, Co-EP, and Supervising Producers as well as work closely with Production team members to ensure budget expectations are met, staffing needs are communicated, and post/deliverables are executed on time.
Be a one-person band when necessary, crashing day of air pieces for broadcast with quick turnarounds.
Contribute towards building the brand identity by being able to take information and create engaging and interactive formats in which the viewer can participate.
Write scripts and execute story telling visually through the selection of appropriate still and video images within budget and time parameters and while maintaining factual accuracy.
Attend junkets, premieres and other outside events, including award shows, to execute news coverage.

The Field Producer brainstorms and pitches ideas, researches topics and works closely with reporter(s) to advance stories, break news and produce segments both in studio and in the field.

What you'll do:

Working both independently and with reporters/anchors to produce original business news content, primarily for broadcast and additionally for digital and social.

*** is looking for a proactive journalist who is passionate about Asia and would relish the challenge of becoming a Field Producer based in our Japan bureau. The successful candidate will be primarily assigned to stories in Japan but may be required to cover news anywhere in the world.

The Field Producer is part of *** 's award winning International Newsgathering operation. Responsibilities include coming up with ideas for distinctive stories, researching them and making successful pitches to editorial leaders. The successful candidate will then see stories through to broadcast and publication. He/she will work closely with television and digital staff on all stories so having good communication skills is essential. He/she will also be charged with identifying news stories/breaking news stories from Japan on any given day and flagging to the desk as well as driving with the newsgathering efforts around those stories.

Field Producers work hand in glove with some of the world's most respected correspondents and will be required to operate at the highest standard. During the course of managing a story, the successful candidate will ensure that legal and editorial integrity issues are handled according to company policy. Producers are also required to work up budgets for stories and ensure those budgets are adhered to.

Breaking news is a key component of what *** does. Field Producers are often deployed into the field to cover a wide range of stories including riots, natural disasters, wars, terrorist attacks, big political developments and a whole lot more. You will be required to move at a moment's notice and could spend long periods of time away from home - often in pretty tough conditions.

Your Role Accountabilities...

The Field Producer is a key position which requires making editorial decisions, coordinating logistics and overseeing the quality of our news coverage in the field and in the bureau. This person will be in charge of live producing, package producing, coordinating breaking news events and working with our security experts to ensure that safety is managed properly.
A Field Producer must also have a strong understanding of both television and digital requirements and be able to produce content to a high standard.

The Senior News Producer works closely with the Executive News Producer and other Newsroom managers in the creation, showcasing, and execution of content across multiple platforms, and for the most innovative news organization in Texas. Responsibilities

Work directly with the Executive News Producer in creating, developing, and implementing news strategies.
Collaborate with *** 5 as our duopoly partners in daily news and big story planning and execution.
Conceptualizing, designing, innovating, and creating engaging and appealing content, projects, and segments.
Capable of producing, co-producing, and line-producing any show.
Have full understanding of each show's strategy based on the target audience
Select, assign an organize news stories
Respond to breaking news with urgency and accuracy
Capable of maintaining an on-going breaking news story on the air
Assist with the training of news producers, new strategies, or changes on workflows
Work with Video Journalists to improve story and presentation
Editing skills to edit video clips
Writing: (1) News writing is accurate, detailed, and balanced, (2) storytelling skills focused on facts, balanced emotions, smooth with a clear and logical flow, (3) trustworthy and tailored for news talent/anchors to present on-air.
Promotional and Topical Writer: Creatively tease viewers with key points, video, and audio...sell the story without giving away the content.
On-line - Occasionally assist with web copies, Streaming, OTT, Social *** , Mobile App, and Podcast productions, uploads, and/or executions.
Production: Great understanding of the production capabilities to help showcase newscasts, produce breaking news and specials.

Administrative: Assist with producer schedules

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
