Summary/Objective
The Jr. Bookkeeper & Administrative Assistant is an entry-level, part-time position within the Finance Department at Fine Brothers Entertainment. Reporting to the Finance Manager, this person will be tasked with processing day-to-day financial transactions, payables & receivables, maintaining sensitive accounting ledgers & records, and overseeing general administrative duties.

Given the acumen, work ethic and effectiveness of the right fit, we look to take this position full-time within 90 days of employment with benefits. To begin with, the work schedule will be Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays 9a to 6p with an hour lunch.

Minimum education requires a 4-year degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics &/or Business Administration with ideally 3-5 years experience in a small to medium sized company. Knowledge of Quickbooks for Mac is an absolute must. We work primarily in Google Suites and its cloud services and technology must be your best friend.

Although your core responsibilities will be heavy in administration, you will learn a lot from simply working within the department. Essential Functions

Prepare accounting records, including financial statements and other financial reports, to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to standards defined within the department.
Report to the accounting manager the finances of the organization.
Establish records of accounts and input entries into to proper accounts.
Document and ensure proper keeping of financial records, making use of current technologies.
Prepare forms and manuals for accounting and bookkeeping personnel.
Ability to reconcile multiple credit card statements quickly & accurately.
Build and maintain detailed payroll records.
Google Spreadsheet/Excel formula proficiency.
Maintain and audit petty cash budgets.
Tracking and ingesting invoices.

The Accounting Assistant role has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment
This job operates in a clerical, office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
Physical Demands
This is a largely sedentary role, however some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bending or standing on a stool as necessary.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position; typical work hours and days are Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Some flexibility in hours is allowed, but the employee must be available during the “core” work hours of 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and must work 40 hours each week to maintain full-time status.
Travel
No travel is expected for this position.
Required Education and Experience

Associate’s degree in accounting.
Two years of accounting experience.
Training or experience in computer applications.
Preferred Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in accounting
Four years of accounting experience
Familiar with accounting software such as Quickbooks
