Digital

Interns will learn how newsrooms publish content to digital platforms, analyze real-time online metrics and more. Interns will get the opportunity to research, write, and publish stories for ****.com.

Weather

Interns must have a working knowledge of a meteorology curriculum or closely related program of study. You will work with our team of meteorologists to learn the skills necessary to create and deliver forecast information for a television and online audience.

Marketing/Promotions

Interns with an interest in marketing, advertising, promotion, or production will be given hands-on experience in these areas.

Engineering

Interns will learn all aspects of maintaining a TV station. Training will include equipment repair, tripod setup, microphone cables, signal flow from the camera to the home viewer, computer networking, and routing.

Orientation

Once you are accepted as an intern at ****-TV, you will receive an instruction packet. Your first day at the station is set aside for orientation and you Must attend this. You will work three days a week, eight hours each shift with varying schedules. During the internship, you should always check in with your assigned adviser upon entering the building.

Full Time

Operate cameras and studio floor directing
Move and handle props and sets during productions
Construction, maintenance, installation and operation of props, cameras, prompters, sets and other production equipment
Lighting and script preparation for newscasts

Broadcast It Manager

****-TV the *** affiliate in Albuquerque, is looking for an IT Manager to join our station. You will oversee the IT operations at our station and work with a collaborative team in a fast-paced environment. The IT Manager reports to the Director of Engineering and performs daily maintenance on computers, virtual systems, network infrastructure, printers and provides user support.

Responsibilities

Support user needs across all departments, including News, Creative Services, Sales, Engineering and Administration
Maintain imaging machines, updating firmware and managing hardware inventory
Provide technical guidance to end-users and mobile de *** support
Maintain LAN/IT infrastructure, installation and support of network hardware and software
Occasional travel to news bureau, transmitter and translator locations
Analyze and implement corporate data back-up, disaster recovery and security procedure

Requirements

Working knowledge of managed network switches and architecture concepts
VMWare, Cisco or Microsoft certifications preferred
VPN, Cisco equipment, TCP/IP subnetting and routing. OSPF experience a plus
Wireshark and Nmap experience
Clustered Network Attached Storage
Deep understanding of file share permissions and inheritance
Knowledge of Microsoft Windows desktop and server operating systems
Knowledge of Linux
Python programming experience preferred
Prior experience with a large user base
Experience in the television broadcast setting preferred
Enterprise and web-based applications

Job Requirements: Must be local to location (or willing to work as a local).

The Account Executive generates advertising revenue by calling on established agencies, cold-calling new prospects and convincing potential clients of the merits of television advertising.

Implements strategies to consistently grow revenue and exceed revenue goals.
Establishes credible relationships with local business community.
Makes sales calls on existing and prospective clients.
Maintains assigned accounts and develops new accounts.
Prepares and delivers sales presentations to clients.
Explains to customers how specific types of advertising will help promote their products or services in the most effective way possible.
Provides clients with information regarding rates for advertising placement in all *** .
Develops advertising schedules with clients and station personnel responsible for placing advertising into station *** .
Works with clients and station personnel to develop advertisements.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements & Skills :

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising or Mass Communications, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience.
Minimum one year's experience in sales, preferably in the *** field.
Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
Experience achieving long-range objectives and implementing the strategies and actions to achieve them.
Proficiency with computers, telephones, copiers, scanners, fax machines and other office equipment.
