Job Summary:
The Facility Technician, under direction of the Facilities Manager will be responsible for ensuring the 24/7 maintenance/operation needs of the DC-3 facility are met. Duties include participating in facility preventive maintenance program; maintaining in-house HVAC and electrical systems; controlling and monitoring BMS (Building Management System); installing electrical wiring and equipment, troubleshooting/repairing electrical equipment, monitoring vendor provided services, performing minor building maintenance as approved by Facilities Manager; and performing general facility cleanup not covered under vendor maintenance plans. Other duties may include but are not limited to assistance with shipping and receiving, and maintaining the Maximo data base used to plan, coordinate, and document our preventative maintenance program.
Other Duties (secondary, or non-essential):
Frequently required use of hands and fingers to write, manipulate telephone and computer keyboard. Regularly required to hear, talk and use close vision. May be required to bend and lift up to 100 pounds properly. Regularly required to walk, reach and climb.
Computer, telephone, printer, copier, fax machine, hand tools, including electrical test equipment, saws, drills and wrenches.
Good project coordination skills are necessary. Knowledge of building maintenance procedures is needed. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Outlook is necessary.
Good oral and written communication skills are needed.

- Maintains and tracks inventory of general supplies.
- Monitors vendors as work is performed by external contractors or vendors
- High School Diploma or equivalency
- A minimum of 1-2 years' experience in facilities maintenance is necessary.
- A valid driver's license.
- Technical School certificate or equivalent experience in a related field
- College degree in a related field
- Industry accredited certificate in a related field
