JOB: FIELD PRODUCER
Location: Toronto / Various
Rate: Paid (Contract)
INFO: Field Producer needed for latest season of Food Network series. This is a road show, with each episode shot in multiple locations. You’re the main point of contact between the office and set, and the person tasked with problem solving if something goes wrong on location. You’ll have lots of support from the story producers, coordinator and line producer, as well the shooting crew, but we’re looking for someone who can take charge, make decisions and stay one step ahead of everyone else.
DUTIES INCLUDE: Planning shoots and travel arrangements with assistance of office staff, supervising crew travel, liaising with and wrangling local talent and locations, managing local PAs, handling petty cash and per diems, keeping shoot day on schedule, casting local streeters, tracking ACTRA talent and completing ACTRA time sheets, keeping notes for post production, driving minivan from location to location, and suggesting places for dinner, as well as finding the nearest Target and liquor store to hotel :)
NOTES: This series is shot across the country and in the U.S. so the successful candidate must be happy to leave their partner, their parents, their kid and/or their dog at home while the crew is on the road for up to three weeks at a time. Production runs throughout the entire summer and into the fall, so if you’re someone who enjoys spending every weekend at the cottage, this isn’t the show for you.
