• Contacts clients as needed regarding ad materials, pricing, billing or special upsell opportunities.

• Handles the daily general clerical functions such as filing, answering phones, creating correspondence and calculating rates to quote to customers when they call.
• Arranges and distributes various advertising materials and sales reports to the proper areas in a timely manner.

• Write and edit content including headlines, short news alerts and teases, enhancing content with outside links, maps, slideshows.

The E.W *** Company is seeking Traffic Copy Editor to work In collaboration with account executives, sales management, clients and agencies this position is responsible for scheduling commercial copy, as well as serving as a back up to the log editor.

What You'll Do:

• Secure and enter advertising traffic instructions for advertisers.
• Enter copy information using ad management traffic software.
• Maintain instruction files, tape library, and various other traffic functions.
• Work closely with account executives and traffic management, clients and agencies.
• Act as back-up to traffic log editor as needed. This includes ensuring that the traffic is scheduled in the appropriate time slot and that the engineering department has the information needed.

Job Summary/Description:

13 News is seeking an executive producer to join our team - but it's different than any you've ever experienced. This management position is responsible for the training and development of our producers, from onboarding entry-level producers to providing advanced critiques to veteran producers. The ideal candidate has several years of producing experience, a love of teaching, and the creativity required to work with different styles of learners. They will work with our current curriculum as well as develop new courses and workshops not only for bringing people up to speed with the expectations of our station but also for our Development Days. The ideal candidate also has experience providing coaching and mentoring feedback on both scripts and performance to on-air talent.

Duties/Responsibilities include (but not limited to):

• Employ, create, and adapt curriculum for onboarding entry-level through experienced producers and MMJ/reporters
• Train new producers
• Provide coaching and feedback to producers as they move beyond the training process
• Develop workshops for providing coaching and feedback to veteran producers
• Work closely with other newsroom managers daily to ensure newscasts are clean, accurate, and compelling
• Produce newscasts regularly to ensure retention of producing skills and knowledge of all shows for which new producers will need to be trained
• Work closely with other newsroom managers to make sure station initiatives are being handled properly
• Find solutions and opportunities when problems come up in the newsroom
• Tackle other projects as assigned by newsroom management

Qualifications/Requirements:

• At least 3 years of TV news producing experience preferred
• College degree in journalism or related field required

• Prior coaching/teaching experience highly preferred

Job Summary/Description:

**** News 13 is looking for a creative, aggressive, and visual photojournalist to join our award-winning news team. The candidate must be able to work in a highly functioning, experienced, talented newsroom. Must have experience with non-linear equipment and have the ability to function in a deadline environment. Candidate will also be required to contribute content to digital platforms. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills needed. Candidate will be asked to work solo and with reporters and MMJs. If you have an eye for powerful pictures and an ear for great sound, this is the job for you.

Duties/Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

- Gather, shoot, and edit pictures, video, and sound for all platforms
- Work with assignment desk, reporters, producers, and newsroom managers to cover daily news stories and meet all deadlines
- Work in conjunction with reporters and producers to ensure the best content and facts are gathered
- Maintain all station gear including but not limited to; cameras, cellphones, tablets, laptops, LiveU backpacks, and any other gear assigned
- Maintain station vehicle with regular auto detailing and maintenance checks
- Understand the editing process and all the technical aspects of Edius 8 editing software
- Use creative graphic and production techniques to enhance visual and audio storytelling
- Work independently and use solid judgment on all stories, images, and sound used within a news story
- Work under pressure in a rapidly changing news environment
- Make decisions quickly and accurately while coping with stress (not undue, but news is not for the faint of heart!)
- Work cooperatively as a team member under tight deadlines
- Contribute to and potentially lead projects within the team to continue to make our newsroom a world-class operation

Qualifications/Requirements:

- 1-2 years of experience as a television editor/photographer in a small to mid-market news station
- 1-2 years of experience operating communication tools and staying connected with an assignment desk or producing staff (e.g., use of e-mail, cell phone, messaging tools, etc.)
- 1-2 years of experience with non-linear editing
- 1-2 years of experience working with television production equipment
- Flexible work hours required, must be willing and able to work a variety of shifts including but not limited to: mornings, afternoons, evenings, late nights, holidays, weekends, and possible overtime hours.
- Must meet physical requirements, including medium to heavy lifting and carrying camera equipment up to 50 pounds for extended periods
- Must be willing to work in all weather conditions
- Must have the ability to interact professionally, respectfully, and effectively with all internal employees and external organizations
- Must understand ethical issues concerning stories and use appropriate journalistic guidelines
- Must be 18 years or older
