About the Role & Program
The *** Signature Casting Department is responsible for overseeing the casting process for all scripted television shows currently in development and production for the studio. If selected for this role, you will report directly to the Manager, Casting.
What You Will Do
We are seeking a self-motivated candidate who is curious, embraces innovation, has a strong desire to learn, grow, and help drive diversity, equity, and inclusion priorities around market, culture, and people. As an intern with the Casting team, you will assist with the day-to-day responsibilities of the busy studio casting department. You will become a member of a smart, fun, and collaborative team. You will help find new and creative ways to work together with an eye toward quality and efficiency.
Your role may include:
- Liaising with talent representatives regarding actor availability and material for casting consideration.
- Supporting department team members in desk and phone coverage.
- Assisting in compiling grids/charts, documents, memos and scheduling.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Experience in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- A high attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Experience working in both Mac and PC operating systems
- A strong interest in Television and the Entertainment Industry
- Previous experience in entertainment and casting
Education
- Recent graduate within 6 months
Eligibility Requirements & Program Information
Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all of the below requirements:
- Be enrolled in an accredited college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR must have graduated from a college/university within 6 months at time of application posting OR currently participating in a *** College Program or *** Internship
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Possess unrestricted work authorization
- Have not completed one year of continual employment on a *** Internship or *** College Program
Additional Information
- Able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internship
- The approximate dates of this internship are August 2024 through December 2024
- Fully available from Monday through Friday, 9am to 6pm PT for the duration of the internship, 40 hours each week
- Able to provide own housing for the duration internship program in the Burbank, California
- Able to provide/have reliable transportation to/from work
