Master Control Operators are responsible for master control and audio board/floor director operations during newscasts.

Monitoring the quality and accuracy of our on-air signals as well as ensuring the transmission meets government regulations and the station's high standards. Building automated playback logs. Preparing material for on-air playback via an automation system. Verify all material airing by referencing timing sheets and dub lists. Perform on-air switching for live events. Operating recording hardware, satellite receivers, and computer-based systems. Monitoring transmitter power levels and tower lights to ensure equipment is functioning correctly and meeting FCC regulations. Anticipate and troubleshoot issues when they occur. Perform other duties as assigned.

Audio operator's responsibilities may include - Preparation of the audio board and equipment for shows, as well as maintaining the quality of sound throughout the newscast. Controlling CGs throughout newscast. Audio ops are responsible for checking sound levels on microphones and other audio equipment functionality, including running sound checks and troubleshooting sound equipment.

Other responsibilities may include - Assembling, preparing, and setting up equipment and the studio before newscasts, including monitors, lighting, cables, mics, and headsets. Finding solutions to technical or other practical problems. Being prepared to innovate and experiment with ideas. Working quickly, especially as timing is such an important factor.

Qualifications/Requirements:

- Minimum High School Diploma
- TV operation experience a plus but not required

Job Summary/Description:

Maintaining on-air operations including repair and maintenance of all broadcast equipment (video, audio, and computer) at the studio, at remote sites, and in the engineering area. Need to have the ability to prioritize tasks and switch gears quickly based on station needs. Signal and interference management. Account for on-air picture quality and performance. Respond to day-to-day operations of an active news and production television station.

Qualifications/Requirements:

Must be knowledgeable in computer systems and IT networking. Television engineers should have at least an Associates Degree in broadcasting technology or engineering. Engineers should be acquainted with current production software as well as microwave and satellite systems and Electronic New Gathering (ENG) operations.
Passing a motor vehicle records check are condition of employment. The right candidate will have strong interpersonal skills knowledge of the repair and adjustment of technical equipment, and experience with troubleshooting to the board level. Job Summary/Description:

The successful candidate will be a hands-on news manager who has a proven track record for coaching and developing talent, solid journalism skills, planning, the desire and ability to own the big news story, and a passion for breaking news and weather. In this role, you will supervise the creation of the Wyoming News Now newscasts that are shared and the unique newscasts we produce for Casper, Cheyenne, and Scottsbluff. The primary production is in Cheyenne with a news bureau in Casper and a newsroom with unique weekday production in Scottsbluff.

Duties/Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

* Experience establishing long-range objectives and specifying the strategies and actions to achieve them
* Ability to identify the developmental needs of others and to coach, mentor, or otherwise help others to improve their knowledge or skills
* Experience preparing and maintaining departmental budgets
* Proficiency with computers, telephones, copiers, scanners, and other office equipment
* Experience with executing a Breaking News Strategy
* Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
* Ability to effectively listen to fully understand employee needs and communicate with a team to shape a solution
* Ability to develop a creative news strategy based on research and follow station brand and execute during all newscasts.
* Candidate will also be responsible for the following:
* Leads and supervises all aspects of news, weather, and sports programming production

* Develop news coverage strategy for the station and its website
* Critiques newscasts daily to correct errors, improve coverage, and provide mentoring feedback to news staff
* Assigns projects to staff and verifies that deadlines are being met
* Ensures achievement of viewer rating goals
* Determines programming and evaluation of equipment needs to produce quality programming
* Responds to coverage questions
* Works with other senior station leaders to establish and reach station goals

* The ability to manage breaking news to include ongoing/continuous coverage for several hours at a time.

Qualifications/Requirements:

* Bachelor's degree in Broadcast Journalism, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience

* Minimum five years experience in news programming production, with at least two years experience in a leadership role

Job Summary/Description:

**** is looking for a part-time IT systems engineer for our television station in Cheyenne Wyoming. This position is responsible for all areas of end user support, including building and maintaining Windows desktops and laptops, managing servers, printers, backups, end user applications, basic IP networking skills, cabling, and all other related systems and equipment. Hours are flexible and we can work within certain restrictions.

Duties/Responsibilities include (but not limited to):

- Provide all areas of desktop client support for local and remote employees
- Build and manage Windows desktops and laptops
- Build and manage Windows servers, file shares, backups, and plans for disaster recovery
- Manage local Active Directory user accounts, passwords, and access to local resources
- Set up work areas, including docking stations, monitors, and printers
- Install and support Microsoft Office and other client applications
- Work with Corporate IT to support local employees use of company applications
- Maintain and manage station IP data network
- Work with Corporate IT to administer, install, and troubleshoot edge network equipment, to
include routers and firewalls
- Work with broadcast engineers and newsroom to support all broadcast automation systems
- Knowledge of RF Transmission Systems, Microwave Systems
- Knowledge of ASI, and SDI Encoding and Decoding Systems
- Maintain station phone system and voicemail, to include add/remove employees
- Process trouble tickets in the company helpdesk system
- Project sales figures on a monthly basis
- Responsible for collection of individual account billing
- Perform other tasks related to position as assigned

Qualifications/Requirement:

- Have good people skills to work with the other Departments
- Have expert knowledge regarding equipment, IT technology, systems and be able to step in
and assist in emergency situations
- Have working knowledge of the latest operating systems software, including automation,
server, and desktop operating systems
- An Associates degree in computer networks, broadcast engineering or related field/experience
is preferred
- Knowledge of Microsoft operating system, LAN layout, and maintenance, as well as
knowledge of data switches, routers and storage devices is necessary
- Must be able to insert and remove control room rack equipment weighing 25-50 pounds with
the help of another employee
- Must have a clean driving record
- Must be fully vaccinated against COVID
