For a new documentary miniseries (3x60) that will exploring issues of racism and white privilege, we seek one (possibly two) very senior AP(s), who could also act as a full producer at times. The APs will report to the Director. They should have the following skills:
- Very extensive knowledge of the politics surrounding the conversation of racism and white privilege including the latest news and thinking.
- A very strong background in journalism.
- Outstanding research skills.
- Extensive field production skills including the ability to oversee shoots independently.
- Strong knowledge of lighting and dressing sets.
- Extensive experience casting, booking and organizing shoots
- Experience assembling show bibles
- Some basic editing experience to cut and show dailies.
- Very strong writing skills including correspondence, show summaries, promos and script work.
- A drivers license and the ability to drive a crew van in NYC and other places.
Pay will be competitive for the position and the applicant's job experience.
The position is theoretically in New York but there can be some flexibility for remote work given the pandemic.

Your Role Accountabilities...

The Associate Producer responsibilities include, but are not limited to: viewing and selecting the strongest and most accurate video elements (packages, sound-bites, B-roll, etc.) for a newscast.
