We are seeking a personable, well rounded individual with attention to detail to act as the on set COVID compliance monitor/Healthy and Safety monitor. This person will ensure the production meets the health and safety standards on daily basis as laid out in our production protocols.

Daily tasks would include: Leading a health and safety meeting every morning in order to ensure all crew is aware of the safety measures in place, setting up washing stations, ensuring all crew are wearing proper PPE, wiping down high traffic areas regularly, and making sure the crew maintain a safe distance. This position is also required to collect daily cast and crew wellness intake forms for COVID-19, so the ability to handle sensitive documents with tact and confidentiality is a must.

The position also includes the management, Ordering and distribution of supplies (PPE, disinfectants, etc.), assisting the production management team in ensuring production policies are up to date and adhering to policies outlined by the government, and providing reports to production management regarding concerns, violations, and compliance

All training and PPE will be provided if courses have not already been completed.

Must be local to Las Vegas or willing to work as a local. This position does not include travel or accommodations

Responsibilities

• Tell the market's weather stories in a way that connects and informs viewers.
• Develop innovative and creative ways of presenting the daily weather story, with an emphasis on accuracy and integrity of data.
• Produce weather graphics and analyze data from the National Weather Ser *** as well as other meteorological sources.
• Work with the producers and news team to create complete coverage of weather. Also prepare and post forecasts for multiple platforms.
• Some live reporting and attendance at community and weather-related events will be required.
• Use of social *** daily and especially during severe events.

Qualifications

Qualifications/Requirements

One to two year experience as a television presenter.
Degree in meteorology preferred or commitment to obtain the degree within a contractual time period
Technologically savvy with strong computer skills (working knowledge of WSI system and WSI 3D graphics preferred.)
Spanish- Native or Bilingual Proficiency (spoken and written)

Must have the ability to work flexible and sometimes long hours due to the nature of weather events in Las Vegas.
Ability to possibly work nights and weekends for coverage of weather events.
Must be 18 years or greater.

Requirements:

Must have valid driver's license, good driving record and be able to operate ENG news vehicles
At least one year of shooting experience and technical knowledge of editing and photo equipment
Ability to edit and shoot general assignment stories, lives shots and natural sound packages
Must be able to lift and carry *** ween 25 and 50 pounds on a regular basis
