A leading production company in reality television is looking for a Development Assistant who is wildly creative and has a passion for unscripted story-telling. This opportunity is ideal for someone fresh in the industry, who wants to support and be a part of the development process. This entry-level position will support multiple development executives and requires an individual who is organized, can work efficiently remotely or with a team and has the ability to adjust with ever-changing priorities.
Responsibilities include:
- Performing administrative tasks such as scheduling meetings, maintaining calendars, note taking, etc.
- Tracking and updating development grid and database of contacts.
- Creating and updating outlines, one sheets and pitch decks for projects as needed.
- Staying abreast of network and distributor mandates and needs, as well as topical information, news and trends in the industry.
- Researching and generating ideas for shows; brainstorming and collaborating with the development team.
- Assisting wherever needed for show development.
Qualifications:
- At least one year entertainment experience.
- Experience handling confidential information.
- Excellent writing and verbal communications skills.
- Proficiency in Google Suite, Avid and/or Premiere, Microsoft Office and iWork software.
