Major television production company specializing in unscripted and scripted, with broadcast and cable productions under their belt, is looking for a strong development coordinator with a bigger focus on unscripted television.
Hiring Strong Development Coordinator:
We're looking for someone that is pro-active, has a great attitude and strong writing skills, and loves TV! This is a great place to learn and participate in the development process (80% unscripted, 20% scripted). The environment here is busy, but fun. Duties include:
- Scheduling, rolling calls, maintaining calendar and basic administrative duties in support of the EVP + VP.
- Tracking internal development, network needs, and other relevant information.
- Write + Create documents (ie. one sheets, decks, casting documents, sizzle scripts…etc.)
- Casting (ie. pitching fresh talent, conduct Skype interviews…etc.)
- Posting on and maintaining East One Twelve social media accounts
- Building and maintaining relationships in the creative community, including talent, managers and agents.
- Staying abreast of the competitive market and entertainment marketplace
- Maintaining standard of strict confidentiality with respect to all matters and documents
Skills and Qualifications:
- College degree preferred
- Minimum 3 years within entertainment industry in unscripted development/production
- Must have comprehensive knowledge of pop-culture
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must have excellent computer and technology skills- at minimum Mac is used at our office: Microsoft Office, PowerPoint or equivalent
- Must have excellent working knowledge of how to operate and maintain social media – Twitter, IG, Facebook, Snap, etc.
- Preference given to those with Photoshop and editing skills (i.e. Adobe, etc.)
- Set production experience preferred
- Experience with script coverage a bonus
