UNSCRIPTED DEVELOPMENT PRODUCER
Xpedition Media is looking for an Unscripted Development Producer to remotely join their Los Angeles team. The development team at Xpedition Media is committed to developing ideas that stay true to our mission of telling honest, heartfelt stories that stir both the soul and the imagination on both a local and global scale. We currently have a show ordered straight to series and multiple production deals set up at major studios.
We’re seeking a development producer who is amazing at cutting together sizzle reels, finding interesting and unique stories and supporting our development team. We currently have numerous projects in various stages of development to complete and take to the pitching stage.
This role’s primary duties will include editing sizzle reels and researching for various projects. Due to COVID-19 production restrictions, this role will have a heavy emphasis on editing, research, and remote production. Preference will be given to applicants with experience in Development and are able to edit a project individually, while going above and beyond the script.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Edit sizzle reels in Premiere (finding footage online, importing and logging clips, stringing out cuts, editing sizzles, providing story feedback, simple graphics work)
• Research for various projects
• Assist with casting
• Assist department VP and Coordinator with project needs
• Track new shows and trends
• Role is slated to begin mid August and run through end of October with possibility of extending
QUALIFICATIONS
• Must be proficient with Premiere and have the program at home due to COVID-19.
• Preference will be given to those with experience in a Development department.
• Must know the unscripted and documentary world inside and out.
• Google Suite Proficiency
