The world of independent documentary is very niche and specific. Our small company has a long track record producing documentaries on various social issues and individuals. We now seek someone with extensive experience in this space developing films, fundraising, writing pitches and doing basic production work. Our small company is hoping to increase its slate of independent documentaries.
Applicant should have experience
- Concepting ideas for new documentaries
- Some field or post experience
- Writing treatments
- Experience and knowledge of the film festival circuit
- The ability to skype and record and do basic (very basic) cuts
- Some knowledge of applying for grants from foundations
We are based in the NY and all the work will be done at our office.
