It will capture the stories of 1st Responders – everyday heroes – who risk their lives on a daily basis to protect and serve their community. The content will give viewers real time coverage of events in their city as they unfold. LIVE. We serve as a human connection & public service to the community of the local market, providing them with continuous coverage, unrestricted by structure or time.
Job Description: Executive Producer
Seeking individual for immediate full time opportunity as Executive Producer. Ideal candidate will be responsible for:
• Day-to-day operation of the 24/7 coverage in the Atlanta television DMA
• Hires & oversees the staff which includes (but is not limited to) Content Producers, Assignment Managers & Reporters/Shooters
• Reports to the upper management
• Serves as production company’s liaison with its television station partnership, 1st Responders and the community served
• Other duties as deemed appropriate to be assigned which may expand beyond one television market to include multiple DMA coverage
Desired Characteristics
• Strong leadership & organizational skills & sound news judgement
• Professionalism is critical. Must demonstrate the ability to gather key information and ask compelling questions
• Local Knowledge is essential. Must be well versed in the community with an ability to determine viability of event coverage & ability to navigate Reporters/Shooters safely, quickly & efficiently to get to the stories
• Ability to react quickly, safely & urgently to breaking news
• Honesty, integrity and respect are essential & greatly valued
• Brings hustle, originality, innovation & commitment to the job every day
• Recognizes important issues & meaningful developments in continuing stories
Qualifications/Requirements
• At least 5 years experience as producer at a local news station in the market
• Ability to work on weekends and holidays as needed
• Strong working knowledge of the technical aspects of television news & unscripted production is a plus
Eligibility Requirements
• Must be willing to work in DESIGNATED LOCAL MARKET
• Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
• Must be 18 years or older
• Must have a valid driver’s license
