Established hit doc-series is looking for one outstanding field producer/multi-cam director to join the team!
REQUIREMENTS:
As Camera Director:
-Must have extensive experience field directing multi-camera crews (2-3 cameras)
-Must be able to lead a field crew, exude patience, respect and keep the crew morale up.
-Must be a leader and set the tone for the team, but also work well within the team too. We don't have room for ego's or attitudes on our shoots/show- everyone is vital and integral in getting great content. Nothing is below anyone here. We all work together to make a great show.
As Field Producer:
-Must be great with story and able to track multiple story lines unfolding in the field before you. No matter what you prepared to shoot, when something bigger/better or unexpected happens, must be able to adjust to new developments and track those new stories, sometimes throwing out the original plan all together
-Must be excellent and super approachable with talent as well as know how to build quick and trusting relationships off camera in order to get the best on camera content. Furthermore- must be excellent at maintaining those relationships long term. This isn't a show with a constantly changing cast. The relationships we have with our cast already span Close to a decade so it's vital that you're dedicated to building but also maintaining your relationships with a large cast (and crew alike)
-Must be able to connect with a myriad of personalities- some are easy, some are difficult
-Must be willing to be on camera when the 4th wall is broken around story
Position: Is "Field Producer" and encompasses field producer who also directs multi-cameras and crew simultaneously
**You Must have experience and know how to produce talent and track story while simultaneously calling camera shots and looking for the best visual ways to tell the story. Writers tell their stories with pen and paper. A painter expresses their vision on canvas. In TV, cameras are our medium. We need producers who remember that and understand how to elevate the story and content with great shooting/visuals.
Prep, Travel & Shoots
-This job preps in NYC so must be able to be in NYC to work with your AP prepping your shoots
-Must stay in constant contact with your talent to get story/life updates and plan upcoming shoots
-Must be able to travel to locations nationally for shoots frequently...Sometimes with plenty of prep time, sometimes at a moments notice. The doc element of this project means we need to often fly with no notice to cover breaking story.
-Must be ok traveling/working weekends- we often shoot on weekends- more than not.
-Prep: Responsible for creating beat sheets/shooting schedules
-In field: must be great with time management and report daily to Co-EP with shoot/story updates
-In field: You will be responsible for creating nightly hot sheets and making sure they're sent out nightly to Co-EP and Supervisors
Ultimately, we're looking for that rare, special field producer out there that has the ability and confidence to "go with the flow" & truly have fun in the field, create and maintain a super positive working environment for the cast AND crew alike, but equally be focused, dedicated and know how to get the stories and pieces needed to tell them without burning bridges with the cast.

-valid drivers license and ability to drive if/when needed is a major plus
-experience or an understanding of addiction and mental illness is also very valuable
VITAL:
Again- please have extensive field producing experience in this genre. This is not a position for a new producer or AP ready to make the first jump to producer. 5+ years experience required as field producer in unscripted with a focus on doc-reality is required.
