Job Requirements: Must be local to location (or willing to work as a local).

We are filming this short film to compete for the Louisiana Film Prize. The film is a deep psychological thriller and we are filming in a 120 year old plantation home in Shreveport La.

LOGLINE: A mourning mother and her newly adopted son’s mysterious secrets become revealed as they battle together through what they believe to be ghostly encounters.

TITLE: Wednesday’s Child
GENRE: Psychological triller, Drama.
FILMING DATES: June shoot 27-29.
LOCATION: (All travel covered) Shreveport LA. We are filming in one primary location allowing company moves to pretty much not exist.

TALENT NEEDS: We want a greasy unappealing look.
Female Lead:
3 days Some blood work and bruising.
Small boy: 3 days.
Man: 1 day Some blood work
Woman: dead look.

We are filming this short film to compete for the Louisiana Film Prize. https://prizefest.com/film/ The winning film gets 50k. We would use those funds to secure full funding of the feature, which is already written and in development. This short is adapted from the feature. If the film is accepted into the competition than it will premiere at Prize Fest in October. All cast and crew are invited and encouraged to attend as well.

Yes this is a passion project(hate to use that word) yes, but a very much a professional one. Especially because of the low rate our priority is to keep the days shorter and fun. All meals, travel, and accommodations are covered by production. We are looking for someone to vibe with our team and help create something memorable.

Required Skills/Experience:

Experience doing professional makeup for television including close-up shots
Work at a fast pace and provide touch ups when needed.
Should be able to do makeup fitting for newscasters and journalists.
Makeup Artist who stays up on the latest advances in professional makeup practices and tools.
Must practice safety standards and protocols, maintain a clean workstation and equipment.
Must be able to work early mornings, nights, and weekends, stand for long periods of time, and work well with a team.

Candidates must be able to:

Maintain strong people and communication skills in a competitive, pressurized environment
Work under intense deadline pressure

Candidates must have:

5 years of professional makeup experience preferred.
