We’re looking for a creative, highly motivated producer/editor to join our team, who will be responsible for the editing and production of original content across multiple projects. Under direction of the Sr. Director of Content Strategy and Operations team, this role will also interface with multiple aspects of the content room, from collaboration with the video team to training the intern staff. This person must be able to work independently while contributing to the goals of the team, work quickly and efficiently while within budget, multitask with a high-volume workload, and remain productive and positive in high-pressure situations.

Responsibilities:
• Produce, edit and shoot as needed segments in-studio or in the field with support and approval from department manager
• Visualize, create and produce truly engaging esports content including long-form programming, short-form stories, hype reels, sizzles, player profiles, highlight reels, promos and campaigns across all media, according to a brief, timeline and budget
• Produce and develop original content for all platforms
• Collaborates with the team to plan, schedule production shoots, work on location and edit on location as needed
• Edit and create cut downs of past events when needed
• Understand the best practices for video storytelling and how to maximize reach with our audience
• Develop strong interpersonal relationships with counterparts in our TV content room
• Stay up-to-date with the latest post-production techniques
• Use creative production techniques such as motion graphics and new forms of media to enhance stories
• Assist Sr. Director of Content Strategy to conceive of new programming ideas
• Support third party production partners when necessary
• Other duties assigned

Requirements
• Minimum 5 years of experience editing video and producing entertainment, news or sports content as a producer, editor, news or sports producer preferred
• A passion for esports and video games
• Experience shooting video/audio and operating as a one-man-band a plus
• Advanced proficiency experience using editing software: Avid, Final Cut Pro or Premier Pro preferred
• Advanced experience with motion graphics such as After Effects, Motion and Davinci Resolve
• Outstanding video editing skills as evidence by your resume reel
• Excellent editorial judgment and understanding of how to construct compelling stories
• Outstanding writing skills for video including short-form story narration, documentaries, corporate reels and sizzles
• A deep understanding of video formats, camera formats, codecs, compression, frame rates & resolution highly preferred
• Ability to produce multiple projects from inception to completion with minimum supervision

7News DC (****-TV) has an exciting opportunity for a Digital Multi *** Journalist (MMJ). Responsibilities as a Digital MMJ will include reporting, shooting, and producing content for wjla.com and our social *** platforms. To succeed in this role, you must be well-versed in the language of the internet, hyperaware of social trends, and possess the ability to articulate a creative vision.

No day will look the same as a Digital Multi- *** Journalist, however, the main responsibilities of the role will include:

Create, shoot and write meaningful stories focused on daily news, breaking coverage and events that impact our community
Attend daily Content Strategy Sessions, and pitch/produce original social content surrounding daily news and major station coverage events
Create content that will take on many forms including, but not limited to, static images, image carousels, short-form video, vertical video, video packages and graphics
Should be a social *** connoisseur with extensive familiarity with all platforms including YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, Reddit, TikTok, and X
Review daily broadcasts, digital content, and raw video, and repackage selected content into engaging social segments and moments
Review social and digital analytics and translate them into actionable steps to increase engagement and content performance
This position requires impeccable spelling and grammar, a deep understanding of social *** trends and what works on each platform
Must have vertical video-producing skills and the ability to capture well-composed videos on a phone
The ability to react to and post breaking news quickly and accurately is a core expectation of this position
Work closely with all members of the news department and creative services department.

Must have experience in news or other editorial background
Proven knowledge and experience working with current *** creation tools
Excel in storytelling across multiple platforms
Must have strong writing and copy-editing skills are a must

****-TV is seeking a full-time overnight TV photojournalist to join our news team. Television news photojournalists combine artistic talent and technical expertise to gather, shoot, edit and deliver creative visual news stories for broadcast television and online platforms. Our team provides accurate and high-quality journalism to the southern New England area.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

The overnight photojournalist shift has an emphasis on covering breaking news including monitoring emergency radio communications and working closely with assignment desk editors and producers. The overnight photojournalist will also run liveshots for the morning newscasts.
News photojournalists will gather video and information in the field, work closely with reporters and other newsroom staff and deliver content quickly. Teamwork with a reporter is essential, but some days you may gather the news solo.
Shoot and edit video stories under tight deadlines.
Operate microwave, satellite live trucks, IP based live transmission gear and other broadcast equipment.
Must be willing and able to work any and all shifts as necessary, including overnights/early morning, days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Photojournalists will also be cross-trained as newscast show editors.
Must present a professional image as a representation of the station at all times.
May be required to perform other duties as assigned.

Specialized Skills:

Demonstrate solid ethical news judgment and attention to detail.
