Title: Phantoms
Job Requirements: Must be local to location (or willing to work as a local).

Looking for an experienced producer to interview a prisoner in a maximum security facility in rural Pennsylvania. Will cover expenses from your location (Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, Washington, D.C., etc.) to the prison and back home.

This interview will not be recorded due to prison rules so the producer will need to be able to take extensive notes of the inmate’s answers as well as formulate follow up questions to elicit more information.

This position requires someone who is good at both taking notes and thinking on the fly. It also requires someone who will not be intimidated by – and can, in fact, work in – a prison atmosphere where inmates have been convicted of the most serious crimes and where some have mental illnesses.

The date of interview is flexible but would likely be late August or early September. This job may involve multiple interviews.

What started as a 2 week documentary about the indomitable will of the local people as a feel good story, turned in over 2 months of undercover journalism, learning about narco-terrorism, bribes, gun smuggling, hundreds of contacts with the local military, US department of state contractors, gun dealers, government agents, and a once paradise, being now used for the narcos for their operations.

All these information being told from the perspective of a female who initially just wanted to head home and see how she could make a difference.

I have shot amazing footage in locations rarely given access to, partner with strategic allies in the local government and am ready to put the story together, I just need a visionary that will help me make it a reality.

Did I also forget to mention there are also Enchanted islands and a breathtaking backdrop in one of the most beautiful (yet currently dangerous) places on Earth?

This might be a very unconventional way to put together a project, but maybe it's time to disrupt the way the industry works.
