Job Description

The Production Manager for the Production & Operations department provides essential support on development and series 3rd party projects of various scales across the *** U portfolio including *** , *** , USA, Oxygen, Bravo, E! and SyFy. For each project, this individual will work closely with the Production & Operations Series Leads on driving the process forward from Pre-Production and Production through Post Production and Delivery.

Responsibilities:

Communicates directly with 3rd Party Production Companies to explain expectations with regard to pre-production, production, post production and delivery.
To understand and be able to communicate Network technical delivery specifications as well as make sure the 3rd party production companies have all insurance, health & safety, and production policies in place.
Act as liaison *** ween 3rd party production companies and all internal Network departments including legal, marketing, the broadcast facility as well as health and safety.
Review and stay on top of production and post production schedules for multiple projects
Review and approve pilot and series wrap bibles, ensuring that all materials are received and accurate
Ensure all deliverables are completed accurately and on-time and report any issues to senior management
Observe all department and company guidelines
You may also be required to carry out any other duties which are within the scope and purpose of the job

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree
2+ years of Production Management experience required (Network experienced preferred)
1+ years of *** /Entertainment experience required
Working Knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

Job Description

The Technical Manager provides support for *** News, MS *** , and digital. This role will be responsible for managing the crew and production team to execute shows, as well as day-to-day operations.

Oversee any or all *** Universal Studio and Control room production, assuring performance standards
Work closely with scheduling to ensure proper crew assignments
Work closely with *** Traffic Control, the Network News Desk and bookers to ensure successful execution of LIVE remotes into daily programming
Liaise with *** U operations & executive leadership
Oversee facilities, IT, and maintenance services for assigned control room and studio during On-air operations
Responsible for customer relationships within *** brands.
Must balance creative demands of various properties with outstanding operational management skills
Develop & motivate crews, creating standards and expectations for excellence in broadcasting
Execute business strategies and cost initiatives while maintaining day to day operations
Manage demands during breaking & unplanned news events
Implement unified operational strategy across *** U show units
Work in compliance with Integrity, Health and Safety Policies, and *** News Standards and Practices
On occasion, plan and execute technical support for *** News remotes worldwide

Qualifications

Minimum of 3 years of experience in live, studio television production
Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a News environment
Minimum of 2 years of experience in engineering support and operational experience in broadcast studio and production control room
Minimum of 1 year of experience with field/remote production processes and equipment (including satellite/telco and communications)
Must have proficient computer skills, including Apple, Outlook, MS Word, Excel
Experience in broadcast television
Strong on-air operations and technical background
Ability to work all shifts including days, overnights, weekends and holidays
Deep working knowledge with control room and studio technology
Demonstrated management experience and customer focused

Responsibilities

This is a full-time, union position

We prefer that candidates have a passion and some experience in most of the following areas:

State of the art broadcast equipment, with an emphasis on broadcast control rooms, studio operations, graphical equipment, and news gathering equipment and software
Strong experience with PCs, laptops, servers, and networking equipment is desired
RF technology including satellite and microwave transmission
Cellular newsgathering equipment
Experience with IP based *** workflow is desired
Some knowledge of FCC Broadcast rules and regulations is a plus
Experience with high-powered solid-state broadcast transmitters is a plus
