We are looking for a Post Production Sound Designer for our independent music film. The script is fairly contained to mostly indoor locations, but does feature diegetic singing.

A responsibility of this job will also include delivering a fully filled M&E.

The ideal candidate will join our team before filming commences to ensure a seamless and successful workflow.

We're seeking a talented sound designer to work on a short experimental documentary with interactive elements. The project focuses on social justice themes and aims to engage audiences through innovative storytelling techniques.

Responsibilities:

• Designing and mixing sound for the documentary and interactive elements
• Collaborating closely with the creative team to achieve the desired artistic vision
• Incorporating sound effects, music, and dialogue to enhance the storytelling experience
• Ensuring high-quality audio production throughout the project

Requirements:

•Proven experience in sound design for film, documentary, experimental or interactive media
• Strong portfolio showcasing previous work, especially projects utilizing sounds as textures (example: wind) as
part of sound design - we are looking to have a meditative feel around our interviews. Please only apply if you
have worked in this capacity and point out work that is specific to our project.
• Proficiency in audio editing and mixing software (e.g., Pro Tools, Adobe Audition)
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Sound design, dialogue cleanup, mixing for documentary feature. The Big Scoot follows 180 scooters riding the 10th Scooter Cannonball from the Pacific Ocean to the Atlantic in 8 days on back roads.

We are looking for a PRODUCTION SOUND RECORDIST / MIXER—ideally someone with 1) extensive experience capturing sound from the sound engineers running LIVE EVENTS and 2) experience simultaneously boom operating and sound mixing on-the-fly interviews in non-production environments.

We are shooting a corporate event at U.S. Bank Stadium — it’s a Gala style event where our key talent will be speaking on stage. We’ll need you to capture audio from the live event team’s microphones by recording a “line out” feed from the sound board controlled by the on-site live event sound engineers. Our producers will help coordinate this prior to the event so the live event team will be aware of your needs. We ask that you join one email thread with the event’s sound engineer to help streamline this communication.

This job will take place on MAY 16th between 3pm and 9pm.

Production / Gear Needs:
1 professional sound mixer for dialogue
intended to record dialogue from wireless mic kit and/or boom mic from on-the-fly interviews
1 additional sound mixer to record the “line out” feed from live event sound engineer
1 adapter kit + misc. cable kit to receive “line out” feed from live event sound board

In search of a Sound Mixer for a two-day shoot in Jacksonville, FL scheduled for June. The specific dates are yet to be determined, but we are currently in the process of assembling the crew. The initial day will involve verite filming and potentially capturing some B-Roll footage, while the second day will primarily focus on conducting interviews. A Supervising Producer will be present to oversee the verite filming process, provide assistance, and prepare questions for the interviews.
