Audio Field Engineer: This role will be responsible for recording 2-4 talent each day for lifestyle spots for a senior living brand.

Gear: We ask that you provide an audio recorder, lav mics, and a boom mic.

Seeking experienced Sound Designer with an enthusiasm for creative collaboration, for an award-winning director’s 5th narrative feature. Past films have won multiple awards at prominent festivals and have enjoyed worldwide distribution. Significant progress has already been made on the sound mix including ADR, foley, and score. Designer would be bringing the film across the finish line with fresh ears and their own creative ideas, in collaboration with director.

Film is a SAG Ultra-Low Budget production, and candidate must be local to NYC to work with the director in person.

We are shooting a proof of concept for a docuseries about some racers at the Mid-Ohio racetrack 6/6-6/9. Looking for someone with experience shooting car racing in addition to general docuseries - there will probably be some walk and talks, and maybe a sit down interview. The racing portion takes about 45 minutes 2x per day for the cup that we are following.

I know you probably live a bit far from there, so we can get you a hotel room, but we are looking for people to work as locals.

We are looking for a Sound Mixer for a podcast shoot in Kansas City. This is a podcast with athletes, 4-5 people at any time, so we will need 5 Lavaliers. We will need one lock box for timecode jamming of all cameras (no need for multiple). We will also want a line in for our center camera (a 3.5mm mix line in) and 3x IFBs for producers.

These will be relaxed and short days, first day in a hotel and subsequent days in single Airbnb location.

Determine the most effective placement of microphones on cast members, ensuring clear and high-quality audio capture.
Adjust microphone levels to account for variations in voice volume.
Monitor live audio feeds during filming to detect and address any technical issues promptly.
Use headphones to assess the quality of the recorded audio in real-time.
Mix and balance audio levels between different microphones to create a cohesive and natural sound.
Maintain clear communication with the FP and production team regarding audio requirements and potential challenges.
Coordinate with other crew members to ensure a seamless integration of audio with video production.
Record high-quality audio tracks during filming, ensuring that all relevant audio is captured.
Ensure that audio recording practices comply with industry standards and regulations.
Hand off audio files to PM and/or Media Manager to ensure files are dropped on to hard drives safely.

Looking for someone available to work next week - on Wednesday 5/22. Looking for a sound mixer/recordist to work 12 hr days and bring their own equipment for a really moving documentary. Rate to include kit rental. Ideally would have documentary and docu-series experience. You'll be a part of something that hopefully will make a big social impact. Documentary film called In Search of Love about how attraction works, the science of love and how to have long lasting relationships. Should be some great insight in the interview. Will be interviewing a celebrity musician about their experience so need to keep all confidential.
