Job Summary/Description:
****/**** is looking for our next TMP/Broadcast Engineer. This candidate is self-motivated, committed to quality control and must have a passion for television. The ideal candidate is highly motivated, versatile, able to handle pressure, meet deadlines and have a positive attitude.
Duties/Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Manage news gathering equipment inventory including fleet of vehicles.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and coordinate repair of news-gathering equipment
• Perform repair and maintenance of all television equipment at the studio as well as remote locations and transmitters
• Train new employees on equipment (cameras, TVU, laptops, etc.)
• Maintain quality control of on-air programming (news broadcasts, shows, commercial materials).
• Provide prompt ser *** in support of daily News Department operations and other station departments
• Cross-train other members of the technical staff to help improve/update technical job skills
Qualifications/Requirements:
• Associate degree in Mass Communication, Electronics, or Computer Science, or equivalent training and/or experience
• Must have the ability to install and configure broadcast technical equipment and computer hardware and software, and troubleshoot computer-related problems in support of broadcast-specific technology
• Good written and verbal skills. Must have the ability to communicate with non-technical personnel to resolve equipment issues
• Must have the ability to prioritize and make changes to work plans without loss of efficiency or composure
• Ability to make well-informed decisions quickly while under pressure
• Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks
• Must possess a positive work attitude, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work well with others
• Have the ability for a flexible work schedule in support of a 24x7x365 broadcast operation
• Pass an MVR check
