Job Summary/Description:
**** is looking for a driven, creative Executive Producer who works well with a team of talented professionals to create compelling morning newscasts. Excellent news judgment, superb writing skills, and a knack for showcasing stories for the viewer are key. You must demonstrate a clear understanding of the relationship *** ween broadcast and digital/CTV platforms as well as how to build a newscast (not stack stories).
Duties/Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Oversee/Help produce live newscasts daily
• Select content
• Write scripts
• Communicate with anchors, producers, assignment desk, field crews, editors, and others to ensure execution of a high- quality newscast
• Produce live breaking news and special event coverage
• Participate in daily editorial meetings
• Occasionally write/edit stories for digital
• Provide Feedback/Coaching/Reviews for morning producers
Qualifications/Requirements:
• 2 to 3 years of newsroom producing experience is preferred
• Track record of best practices, including solid broadcast writing, real-time management of live assets and development of showcased leads
• Solid understanding of journalistic ethics and libel laws
