Core Responsibilities:

• Work closely with audio lead and game team to conceptualize, prototype, build, and maintain effective audio systems that support the experiential and narrative pillars of our game
• Problem-solve and devise creative solutions to complex challenges that can arise within interactive audio
• Edit and implement a wide range of high-quality sound assets
• Collaborate with external outsourcers while maintaining excellent standards of communication
• Perform audio playtests, performance profiling, bug-fixing and optimization

Our ideal candidate possesses:

• 5+ years experience as a Technical Sound Designer, preferably on high-quality multi-platform games
• Expertise with Unreal Engine (including Blueprint), Wwise, and other industry-standard audio technologies
• Strong abilities with game audio concepts, workflows, and technical sound design best practices
• Experience creating and optimizing UE Blueprints
• Proficiency in visual programming and scripting languages
• Solid understanding of spatial audio concepts in gaming and related technologies
• Experience with HDR (high dynamic range) mixing techniques
• A keen focus on product quality and supporting player clarity, feedback, and experience
• Proven capability in sound design and content creation

Our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. To determine your personal top of market compensation, we rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range. The range for this role is $90,000-$600,000

We are seeking a dynamic Motion Designer with a passion for branding and storytelling through design, motion graphics, and animation. As part of the Motion Creative team, the Motion Designer will be integral to the day-to-day creation and production of creative motion graphics-including OOH displays, environmentals, promos, packaging, and emerging *** platforms-while maintaining the highest level of design and brand consistency. They will partner directly with the Creative Director and work collaboratively with other motion designers, project managers, and stakeholders throughout the creative development from ideation to execution. Your Role Accountabilities...

• Drive design process, taking ideas from concept through final production
• Assist and create flat assets, video graphics packages, social design, infographics, storyboarding,

Qualifications & Experience...

• Bachelor's degree, with a preference for a Bachelor of Fine Arts in graphic design/motion design
• At least 3-5 years' design and animation experience
• Knowledge of After Effects, Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator, and sound editing programs a plus
• Strong command of typography, color, balance, scale, vector illustration, and photo retouching

• Attentive to fundamental design standards (centering, kerning, leading, rags, etc.)

The Role

As a Senior Narrative Designer, you play a vital role in one of our new game projects. Your expertise in narrative design is instrumental in crafting a compelling fantasy for players to immerse themselves in. Working from our Helsinki office, you'll collaborate with a team that embraces a hybrid work model.

The ideal candidate for this role is someone who thrives on shepherding a project from its inception through development, release, and beyond into live development. They are proactive and driven, ensuring that our processes are top-notch and our execution delivers outstanding results. While they hold strong convictions about their creative vision, they are also adaptable and able to respond to player feedback and stakeholder concerns across the organization. Moreover, they can balance pushing creative boundaries and meeting release schedules within the scope of ambitious project goals.

Responsibilities

• This is a hands-on design role. You will design and write specs, implement and iterate them in Unity, and write and implement story text.
• You understand and can apply a multitude of tools from your narrative toolset to have the most applicable solution to flesh out the world and the game's fantasy
• You have foresight into implementation risks and challenges and can offer multiple solutions to the way the game team needs to convey the world.
• Work closely with the lead designer to help create a cohesive fantasy that players are motivated to participate in.
• Work with Marketing to ensure the game's fantasy is represented as intended.
• Work closely with the Design Director to ensure the craft is well represented and understood in the studio.
• The ideal candidate can quickly visualize solutions to any given narrative problem, allowing for discussion of challenges and implementations.
• This person is a natural communicator and able to build a solid narrative pillar together with the game lead

Our team is working on a mobile game concept that is moving fast. We are an extremely proactive team with very little management from the team leadership. This does not mean that communication and transparency are free for all, but every team member is responsible.

We are seeking an accomplished video editor to support our mission to share the stories of New England in a visually stunning way. As member of the Chronicle team you will work both collaboratively and independently to help create programs that bring words and video to life. You will bring an artist's eye, attention to detail, and a sense of creativity and fun to the job.

You will create show projects in Adobe Premiere; edit nightly show opens and teases; digitize field SD cards, cut content for social *** , record narration tracks, and manage the archiving process for Chronicle video. You will work closely with the Executive Producer and Managing Editor to prioritize tasks. While the primary responsibilities are within Chronicle, you will also edit the General Manager's weekly editorials and support ****'s urban news and feature magazine program, Cityline. Chronicle editors also work closely with designer on graphics and with videographers on best practices.

You may occasionally edit half-hour Chronicle episodes and assist in shooting video in the field.

Job Responsibilities:

• Cut nightly show opens and teases. Preview all packages prior to nightly broadcast and troubleshoot problems
• Archive all original Chronicle content and manage the program's digital archives
• Work with catalog systems to record and locate necessary video
• Gather and edit video and still pictures
• Possess the ability to edit show packages for both broadcast and digital platforms

Qualifications & Experience...

• Degree from accredited art school with emphasis in graphic design, motion design or related field (illustration, photography, industrial design, visual communications) or equivalent work experience.
  
• Displays outstanding communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work well with other teams under pressure.
  
• Embraces working in a diverse, collaborative environment and is willing to train and assist other designers on various levels. Actively contribute to overall positive and creative atmosphere of the department.
  
• Excellent computer, organizational and interpersonal skills required.
  
• Expert level at Adobe Creative Suite (After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, Etc.).
  
• Cinema 4D knowledge is a plus

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

****-TV has an open position for an enthusiastic, bright, technically minded freelance graphic designer/animator to join a Creative Services Department that offers a wide range of work and mediums. The ideal candidate will create impactful, daily news graphics and special graphics packages while adhering to the *** brand. They will conceptualize and execute engaging on-air animations for promos, shows, commercials, digital/social content, corporate presentations and more. This position will work directly with the Design Director, writer/producers, editors and other graphic designers.

QUALIFICATIONS

- Strong design/animation skills and in-depth understanding of After Effects and industry standard plug-ins.

- Proficient in the Adobe CC Suite and Mac OS workflow.

- Excellent typography, design and color theory practices.

- Must be highly organized and able to follow instructions completely and accurately.

- Strong multi-tasking ability with excellent problem-solving ability.

- Excellent time management skills and ability to work unsupervised, to tight deadlines.

- Excellent oral and written communication skills.

- A sound grasp of post-production processes and services for broadcast.

- Must be dedicated, punctual, willing to learn and have a strong work ethic.

- Cinema 4D and/or VizRT working experience.

- Flexible schedule, last-minute, holiday, vacation relief coverage.

- Knowledge of Chicago and its vicinity.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

- Bachelor of Arts Degree, 3+ years of work experience at TV station, network or agency experience preferred.
