Brought high-quality shows from development to air by partnering with multiple executive producers at one time. Provided an insightful female perspective to male-targeted content to encourage greater co-viewing and thus increase ratings. Established a highly collaborative relationship with external production companies and with Discovery’s various departments to leverage promotional opportunities, especially when no traditional marketing resources were available. Trailblazed with Discovery’s Social and Digital teams to execute new initiatives, including the MythBusters “Watch With” events, Alaska: The Last Frontier’s homestead cams, and Street Outlaws real-time Facebook poll. Partnered with Discovery’s Ad Sales team to facilitate lucrative, recurring integration deals on Fast n’ Loud, Deadliest Catch, and other series. Helped set up and train Discovery Channel’s West Coast production department, which came to produce the bulk of the network’s hit and Emmy-nominated series.
