Alex Shutsa

I help oversee day-to-day operations in the post department, namely on the long-running HGTV series 'Income Property.' I create and compile deliverables for networks, as well as aid our editors in the use of our ProjectStore server. I also edit short-content videos ranging from casting videos to webisodes.

I assisted the on-set Producer/Director with documenting reality storylines in order to shape the episode's emotional arcs. Production office work included travel memos, petty cash and scheduling. During the live show, I worked alongside the writer to create gags for the celebrity judges.

I worked closely with an independent producer to develop an online interactive fundraising campaign for a documentary project on mental health awareness. I also wrote, designed and compiled production proposals for other in-development projects.

I was brought on to organize the post workflow and perform preliminary editing on a made-for-TV documentary called "Godless" that aired on Vision TV. The production used Final Cut Pro. I also occasionally acted as a production assistant on shoots when necessary.

I floor directed a shoot location for CP24's 2010 Municipal Election coverage. I handled talent and wrangled interview subjects in a party-like atmosphere during the event. I was in the thick of it when Rob Ford won. What a night.

Worked as an Editing Assistant Intern on W Network's Canadian adaptation of 'How to Look Good Naked.' Performed preliminary editing on raw footage within an Avid Media Composer system.

I worked in the production office, performing a variety of tasks to keep office running smoothly, including reorganizing and maintaining production records. I occasionally assisted on commercial shoots.
