Shoot centered on CEO/Founder's celebration of the app's Halloween offerings. Centers on his dressing up as a certain iconic vampire character and the replication of her previous work. Assisted in camera operating and setting up equipment and adjustments. Breakdown and loading out is important.

Worked with host Sarah Moliski to develop content and pick out places shown in video. Filmed (video/audio) Sarah over 4 days going around various locations in So Cal: Coffee Coffee on FairFax, Mudbum in WeHo, Trim in Venice, Skateboarding (filmed by Artem Kamalov) in Beverly Hills, and LA Arboretum in Arcadia. While on set, deciding what was necessary to film was key and being economic with our time was crucial. After the shoot, proxy'd footage, data management, assembled cut including any motion graphics, color and sound. Cut down from first cut of 10-15 mins to final cut of 6 mins. Published to Youtube. In January, cut each part into pieces and released to Sarah for use by each place's social medias.

First stab at making a film as sole crew member with actor Rigoberto Lopez. The process included treatment, script writing, shot listing, camera and shoot day prep. Day 1, shooting in Crystal Cove State Beach for a few hours with 35mm lens. Day 2, shooting at apartment residence for 4 hours. Following schedule, shot in bedroom, bathroom, living room, outside apartment. Sound and camera and various wild audio. Edit involved proxies, syncing, assembly, export until V3 and version for both Youtube and IGTV.

Set PA on a 2-day photoshoot at 2 separate locations each day, duties included runs for pickups and returns, on-set support, especially during load-in and end-of-shoot clean-up. Some special FX work creating painted, burnt signs

This is an all-encompassing editing role. I've seen this project from proxy, sync, to assembling a cut, thru 6 revisions, color grading, de-graining, and minor visual effects. Currently waiting on any visual refining edits. Collaborating with Director, Actor, Composer, and Sound Designer.

Most intense shoot to date. Handheld, experience-based shoot with hiking doesn't mix well. Recorded with 3 different microphones to make sure I was safe in case one sounded awful. Resulted in one of my best videos to date. The final video is my attempt at a fly-on-the-wall experience and a focus on feeling what it was like to be there.

MY interest in this sparked from wanting to do something simple, since the previous video was intense as a shoot and in editing as well. Unfortunately, the result was intense. Amassed a list of 30 murals to capture on video, half in Long Beach and the other half in Venice. The edit came together as an accident, tho my main focus was to use after effects as transitions, that became too tedious and time-consuming so I messed around with time and making it completely random. The final video is a fun, quick romp through murals. I love some of the shots in there.

Developed through looking for odd, unique experiences in Los Angeles off the beaten path. Flight of Voices is a music collective who liked to perform in odd locations. They had a performance in a Himalayan Salt Room in Beverly Hills. A room usually reserved for 1-4 people was crammed with about 10 for this performance. The challenge was low-light and a small space. Trying to make it work and look bigger than it was. The edit also had a few revisions, since I didn't establish that this video would be ours. The final product is a combination of a concert film and informative about Flight of Voices. Can be seen below.

In my pursuit of looking for interesting to do in LA, I happened upon an AirBnB experience with a thrifter, Kym Allen. She's an actress amongst other things and had a great sense of style. Thankfully, her being comfortable in front of a camera and my interviewer Jon Zavaleta's experience with interviews helped me get through shooting with tons of content. I edited it down with a focus on what thrifting means but also aimed for a fun, hip vibe. Handheld is my MO currently. Used a rig that had my A6300, an f4 zoom lens, along with a zoom recorder. Used a zhiyun crane in one shot as well.

Developed idea out of company's focus on different cultures, regions, traditions, so I tried to incorporate imagery of the old and new. Travelled to the Korean Bell of Friendship, DTLA, Chinatown, Olvera Street, Grand Central Market, Hollywood, Griffith Observatory, Chinese Theatre. This is my first time using S-Log on an A6300, so I experimented with LUTs in the colorgrade. Exploration was key. The written dialogue was voiced by blogwriter Jonathan Zavaleta and some design aspects suggested by Sean Travis. This is an initial piece of marketing for The Lore Co.

In some cases, in charge as Director for camera crew. 1st part of day was spent at indian temple for actual wedding ceremony as one of 3 angles, capturing every moment. 2nd part of day was for reception and capturing coverage of night's events which included various dancers, speeches, and presentations. In addition, we were tasked with setting up equipment at beginning of day, packing up and moving to 2nd location, setting up there, and packing up at the end of the shoot as well.

2-day gig. First day: load in equipment, set-up various lights, electrical equipment. During the shoot, I was in charge of the turn-table during product videography. Later on, in charge of clean up and loading equipment. Second day: Equipment returns in Burbank and Hollywood.

Produced and directed this promo for the Union Weekly newspaper in coordination with Associated Students, Inc., of CSU Long Beach. Written by Union Weekly former Editor-in-Chief Vincent Chavez. Edited final product within a week.

Wrote script in coordination with client (Alliant Insurance), produced and directed shoots. Responsibilities included finding talent/locations, coordinating cast/crew, planning shoot schedule (4-5 days), keeping on task and problem solving in the face of problems until principal photography was finished. Edited rough cut up to final cut (4 videos).

Filmed Smorgasport 2012 festival event (booths, events, tabling, etc.). Edited footage into 1 minute promo at a fast-pace within deadline (1 week). Award: 3rd Place, ACUI Steal this Idea Design and Marketing Competition.
