• Book and confirm talent guests via proactive or reactive approach and via established or new relationships • Develop and maintain working relationships with agencies and publicists to ensure desired guests can be booked when needed. • prepare background research for on-air talent and senior producers • Responsible for the development, packaging, supervising post-production, troubleshoot any production difficulties or problems • Meet with Producers and Managing Editor to review production schedule and editorial content for show. Work with digital and broadcast program producers to develop segment ideas. • Coordinate specific production and staffing needs for broadcasts, including editing and control room areas. • Review original editorial content for the show. Define the style and tone of a package or piece, including selecting all sound bites and footage. Supervise scripts and the editing of a story. Produce stories and assist with live shots as needed. Prepare research for stories as needed. • Attain a solid knowledge of all show / news elements; how they work and how they are applied within the show. Provide story ideas and suggestions to improve broadcasts on a regular basis.
