Brian Hall

In the past years I have been making music videos, informational videos, sports highlights, event highlights, and films. For each project I have done all of the camera work and editing, as well as much of the directing and producing.

As the first camera assistant I helped the Director of Photography to keep the camera department running well. Some of my responsibilities included changing lenses, changing the setting on the camera, and keeping the camera in focus.

As the DIT I transferred the files from the camera onto the computer and backed them up. I then viewed the footage to make sure it copied and I showed dailies to crew members.

As the second camera assistant, my job was to keep the camera department moving efficiently. This required me to get needed equipment such as lenses, batteries and accessories. I also kept a log of the camera setting for each shot and called and make each take with a film slate.

-Traveled to many different locations for high school sports games. -Followed the action of the game using zooms and pans. -Dropped the tape at the office after the game for review and editing.

As a production assistant on this shoot I helped with moving equipment and also playing the music during the takes.
