I created a look for the Feature Documentary based on Joshua Melville's autobiographical novel American Time bomb. Responsibilities centered around run&gun footage of the American Northeast documenting Joshua's journey to uncover the truth of his father's death in the Attica Prison uprising of 1971. Captured in 4K at 30p for Broadcast. Responsibilities included creating a nostalgic look of Joshua's youth with specially chosen vintage camera lenses to work in conjunction with modern digital-made lenses. On-location and in-camera sound recording were my responsibility as well.

We filmed 25 "run & gun" commercials on Location in Austin and San Antonio Texas within a 7 week schedule. Responsibilities included developing a cinematic visual style across all films while working with non-talent personalities quickly and effectively to capture unscripted interviews and candid lifestyle scenarios. Anticipatory problem solving, on-the-fly adaptability and critical multitasking were vital tools, keeping production footprints small and workflow nimble.

As a founding team member of a West Loop branding house, I co-development a film studio responsible for end-to-end motion picture production of both local and international advertising campaigns focusing around personal, story-driven films. I worked closely with both a growing in-house creative team and clients to produce and deliver rendered content.

Responsibilities involved Gaffing and filming 15 minute live and pre-recorded interviews for immediate network primetime broadcast. Teams comprised a Producer/Director, Sound engineer and 2 Camera Operators in a Kino-Flo based studio.

I've worked with teams on both smaller run & gun films and global marketing campaigns. Regardless of the creative hat, from Camera Operator to Director, I look for the "story" in every shot to frame content in a way that engages a target audience and produces higher click-through rates and retention for clients. Collaboration with a creative team driven by a clear vision is my favorite part of the process.
