Heather Deiter

As Assistant to the Director of Photography, was responsible for orchestrating and documenting key cinematic shots and insuring proper slating of the entire shoot. In recognition of my keen eye for detail, was made responsible for film continuity and quality assurance – minimizing shooting errors and re-take costs.

Solely responsible for writing the entire screenplay/script; responsible for hiring the Producer, Director of Photography, and Film Editor; casting and coaching the actors; collaborating with the director of photography in creating a unified look for the film. Due to personnel issues, took on additional responsibilities as co-editor.

Utilized creative techniques acquired as a multi-media artist to lead make-up design and application to the actors; assisted with craft services and assisted the Director of Photography with assembling, operating and disassembly/storage of film equipment.

My efforts on this film included: writing and editing the entire script; casting the actors; securing a location to shoot in and obtaining all necessary permissions; operating the camera and assembling the lights; directing and coaching the actors; and, editing the piece in its entirety.

Gained valuable experience in melding together all aspects of creating and producing films.
