Manage and document the turnover of shots from editorial through to delivery including ingesting new media into pipeline; process turnover and keeping edits and databases up to date; conform and export necessary files from offline edits, to be used by the Sound Mixer and Colorist, and build the online with final assets.

Assist VFX Editor manage the shot plate assets workflow from initial ingest, database tracking to the communicating shot level detail to production and VFX departments; create VFX turnovers for our online facility to pull raw footage for our VFX vendors; communicate any relevant information regarding the placement/changes to shots in the edit to production teams; general exporting and delivery of files as required and take notes during VFX review session with producers and VFX Editor.

Ingesting proxies created by the post house/DIT; prepping all of the dailies for the editor; updating ScriptSync for the production; follow all priorities given by 1st Assistant and help in all areas of Editorial; screen cuts with the editor and 1st assistant and offering feedback on the edit; work on temp VFX comps, temp SFX, and temp music editing; track over 400 VFX shots in FileMaker Pro; manage and document the turnover of shots from editorial through to delivery including ingesting new media into pipeline; processing turnover and keeping edits and databases up to date

-Prepare Avid project for edit by logging and syncing footage, and creating dailies stringouts, troubleshoot technical issues as well as assisting editor’s troubleshoot issues, create VFX turnovers for our online facility to pull raw footage for our VFX vendors, conform and export necessary files from offline edits, to be used by the Sound Mixer and Colorist, and build the online with final assets.

- Format and generate exports; then QC content for actual delivery to clients with producer approval, using SharePoint for collaboration on Adobe Premiere projects, transcode and encode media for post-production workflow

-Deliver elements in accordance to finishing specifications -Convert, transcode, and compress media for post-production workflow -Edit in various digital-video formats using Adobe Premiere -Organize and archive footage and deliverables -Format and generate exports for broadcast, nonlinear, and other distribution; then passing along the content for QC and actual delivery

-Prepare Avid project for edit by logging and syncing footage, and creating dailies stringouts -Assist with basic temp sound design and audio mixing -Troubleshoot technical issues as well as assisting editor’s troubleshoot issues -Research possible sounds effects and music tracks -Filling out wrap paperwork for previous episodes
