I photograph every episode of BET's 106 & Park -both backstage and on set. I shoot several hundred shots per episode and these are edited down to around 20 images that appear on the "106 & Park" app for iOS and Droid platforms, as well as www.bet.com. It's an intense job -covering the backstage and onstage action of a live TV program and managing so many images each day, but I really do enjoy being there.

I incorporated my business as "photo: John Ricard, LLC" in 2001 when I left my position as High School English Teacher at Clara Barton High School in Brooklyn. I have operated a studio in Times Square for the past 6 years. I shoot music artists and models there regularly.

I photograph all meetings, seminars and presentations delivered by the Calibr networking group. These meetings feature speakers like Bernard J. Tyson, CEO of Kaiser Permanente, "Decisive" author Dan Heath, "Outhink the Competition" author Kaihan Krippendorff, "Impolite Conversations" author Cora Daniels and many others. I also maintain a database of images for Calibr. The database contains thousands of images, but the images are organized by date and event where they were taken and the leadership of Calibr can instantly access the high resolution file for any image I have taken. I also shoot executive portraits for the Calibr membership.
