Making sure the show was running. Kept all departments informed of what we in production needed or any changes that may have occurred in the schedule, sending PAs on runs for last minute needs, and generally keeping to needs of the DP and director known and taken care of.

Set Dresser Akon - So Blue

Building a fake elevator that was completely blue and had working sliding doors. Also the standard lifting of furniture up 5 flights of stairs (good for the body, good for the soul), finding set dec that were allowed to us from location and dressing the various halls.

I came into the remake of White Zombie near the end of production. I was brought in as production had had problems with their original 1st AD. I wrote a new callsheet overnight and of all the major problems that appeared I managed to solve them with ease.

First Assistant Director The Ascent

The Ascent was my first real job as a 1st Assistant Director. The director Tom Murtagh continuously praised me for how I anticipated problems and kept everyone on track. He further did a double-take when he found out that I hadn't been in my position for his assumed 2-5 years.

From my experience as a grip on 37 I was brought onto set as a key grip. The equipment wasn't as great as 37, but with the gaffer we managed to do some amazing lighting from rave scenes to fake fire.

A friend had called me and told me of someone looking for a DP for a short she wanted to do. We met and hashed out details over something simple: she wanted a review of a salon where she'd get hair extensions.

This was my first job in G&E and I came in as a PA. Originally I was volunteering for a friend but I did the job so well that the entire G&E department and the 1st AD came to me, saying that I needed to get a check.
