Ross Macartney

Working under the experienced leadership of Thomas Wostak, I served often as his key grip when I wasn't pulling other duties with other departments. With a bit of experience under my belt I often double as a camera assist or a director assistant.

Wrote, Produced and Directed a short drama about an unconventional love triangle at your run of the mill pizza joint. It toured the festival circuit including Palm Springs and Bare Bones

Served as gaffer for a portion of the production of the PSA/Documentary "Last Text", Directed by Henry Alex-Rubin

Over the course of the nights and weekends production schedule I was in charge of all the audio recording of our indie narrative film project, directed by Jacob Ransom. This included but was not limited to recording audio and operating the boom mic for every shot.

Producer, Videographer and Editor of Video Programs for use at every level, department and division of the company. Programs including legal directives, training programs, associate stories, unique product launches, executive leadership interviews, commercials, live and pre-taped broadcast television programs,

I was part of the launch team for Disney's Photo Pass program. It was our team's responsibility to design the training program that future photographers would go through, we also studied crowds and line cues in order to insure that we could install the new service into the parks and provide a seamless, non-intrusive photography service throughout the entertainment destination. Disney taught me to focus on the guests' experience which has translated into uncanny customer service and an undying desire to exceed their expectations.

Served as writer, producer, editor and director of an surrealist avant garde film about time, aging and insecurity. 2014 screened at the Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art during their exhibition of Art & Nature.

Worked mainly in a where-needed capacity areas including assistant offline editor, plus assistant sound engineer for a few projects. In addition, I also served as a courier delivering media to a variety of clientele in the greater Chicago area, helped with client services and learned as much as I could from the industry leading post-house.

Served as the co-writer, actor, production coordinator, producer and sound mixer. Featured during a student filmmaker showcase at the 2002 Cannes Film Festival
