Director of Photography (DP)
Matthew oversaw all departments and made sure they met their deadlines, despite the foreseeable setbacks when coordinating such a massive venture. His calm, collected nature and nuanced approach to problem solving insured that even when things went sideways -- with whole-house AV surveillance installs and set decoration purchases/installations -- tasks were completed and functioning optimally when they were required to.
Matthew oversaw multiple teams of camera operators -- 8 if I remember correctly -- working day and night units, following around multiple talent and coordinating swap-outs as necessary when talent intermingled and to keep everything on schedule and within the scope of time allowances; I don't even think A or B unit hit a meal penalty, despite how many locations they moved to.
Matthew also owns and operates a production company where he keeps production necessities on hand, from folding tables and chairs through vans with lift gates.
In short: big or small, Matthew "Fitz" Fitzgerald is your guy. I've seen him put together last minute, single-camera interviews and oversee multi-million dollar productions, all going off without a hitch.
If you're hiring someone for their nature and personality, Matthew is a no-brainer. But if you're looking for a fantastic LP at most budget levels, you'll get their professionalism and warmth as a bonus.
