Development Manager

Identify outside talent & signed multiple development deals through external business affairs. Develop all formats into write-ups and create all pitch material, including decks and sizzles. Maintain a constant stream of new ideas while also tracking a slate of 20+ active shows. Manage interns by supplying them with tasks, teaching them development and research skills.

Worked with a bicoastal team as a part of a summer Think Tank to brainstorm new ideas. Conducted research on original ideas independently as well as supported the VP of Development, found elements to package with concepts, cold called & Skyped potential talent.

Created new show concepts, including writing show formats, act structure, and finding sample cast for broadcast, cable, and digital networks. Reviewed and evaluating outside pitches for potential third party involvement. Conducted research on original ideas to package with talent or other assets. Tracked and updating department development budget and current slate report.

Development Coordinator

Developing and writing treatments and decks for new unscripted formats based on an Executive Producer’s needs, as well as independently researching new ideas daily. Creating visually engaging show decks with Photoshop, pulling clips and editing rip-o-matic short sizzles through Adobe Premiere. Communicating with various network executives to arrange and maintain an aggressive pitch schedule, while staying up to date with network trends and needs.

Executive Assistant (Asst to EVP & Head of Unscripted Production)

6/12 – 2/15

Assisting the EVP & Head of Production with managing a complex schedule, liaising with production staff, filing expenses, and completing requested tasks in a timely manner. Creating organizational systems for maintaining a coherent work schedule, such as introducing a follow-up structure to a high volume of emails, and budgetary cheat sheets. Facilitating a busy multi-line phone including rolling calls, taking detailed notes, and conducting conference calls.

Receptionist

2/12 – 6/12

Greeted guests to the building with a friendly demeanor and made sure they were comfortable while waiting in the main lobby. Answered and directed phone calls to the appropriate persons. Coordinated boardroom schedules, sorted and sent out company wide mail, and maintained a necessary level of office supplies.

Contributed strong, imaginative ideas that made it to air, including concept research and strategy. Assisted creative and account teams in contributing to the overall efficiency of the office including organizing meetings and managing client relations. Performed music searches, imported/exported QuickTime files to and from AVID, posted cuts for clients, created slates & labels.
