I traveled to Haiti to shoot for 10 days across the central and southern regions of the country interviewing citizens, politicians, and journalists. This presented difficult situations including location shooting in slums and 'stealing' shots while surrounded by armed personnel.

I defined the looks for the the film in regards to lighting, camera blocking and lens series choices. On set I operated camera, and coordinated with different crews for our multiple shooting locations. In post I oversaw the coloring sessions and made decisions on the final look of the film.

In preproduction I prepped shot lists and gear rentals in both Los Angeles and Atlanta. On set I worked closely with the Director and Gaffer to achieve our look. We utilized all outdoor locations, which meant shaping natural light with large bounces and overheads. I also operated the camera.

I shot a series of videos highlighting PG&E’s participation in the “Green Button Initiative”. This involved lighting/shooting numerous interviews and b-roll, coordinating with 2nd unit crews in Seattle, and meeting with corporate ambassadors regarding the project.

I conceptualized the look with the Director and devised lighting setups and shot lists in pre, operated camera while working closely with the director and gaffer to achieve our look in production, and supervised coloring sessions in post to finalize coloring decisions.

I conceptualized the style and planned the shot list in close conjunction with the director in preproduction. On set I worked with our gaffer to realize our look, and operated the camera. In post I oversaw the color grading process and the DCP transfer to ensure image consistency.

I embarked upon a 5 week cross country journey filming a feature length indie documentary about contemporary American jazz. As the director of photography I managed and operated our camera packages, rigged lighting setups, and solved the problems that arise when shooting a traveling documentary with minimal crew.
