Nicole Melius

I am working alongside the director of photography to produce a documentary based on a local composer and his orchestra. I am 1st AC, but the role changes based on needs of DP. I am operate camera as well sometimes, and we work with a Canon Rebel T4i.

I am a videographer for Red and Black Publishing in Athens, GA. I discover, shoot, edit and report various stories happening around the area and post them on the newspaper's website.

I helped deliver the director's vision for camera shots and lighting. Coordinated with lighting department and worked with camera team for moving shots with camera supports.

I aided Universal Event Photography as a PA for a Cheersport Cheer Competition in Atlanta, GA. I also, more specifically, organized photo order forms and handled cash and credit card payments.

I was on a camera team with three other individuals. I operated the camera and helped design the lighting for each shot. I performed as the head gaffer on most shooting days.

I assisted Director with composition and visual style of music video. I shot with a Canon 60D using various kinds of camera support such as a Jib, High Hat, Slider, and Cartoni Tripod. This was a student project, sponsored by the University of Georgia Mass Media Arts department.

I was apart of a combined grip and lighting department. We handled the cables for the lighting while also assisting head gaffer in light placement. Performed grip duties as well.

I was an active intern/production assistant on set. I worked with various departments, but was primarily working under the head set PA and AD.
