Noah Cody

I was employed by the American Film Institute since July of 2015. I create curriculums for highly skilled workflows and teach editing classes for AFI students. Within this prestigious master’s program, I have come to learn a deep understanding of various non-linear editing programs, troubleshooting, assistant editing, editing aesthetic and work ethic. As an editorial assistant, I oversee 200 shows a year go through the necessary steps to master and finish through editorial and delivery. This includes turning over assets, online editing, creating deliverables, VFX editing, titling, mixing and the valuable comprehension in creating DCPS in Resolve and Linux.

An ad for a “tactical backpack”- as lead editor I was responsible for editing two one minute spots, showcasing the products unique brand of safety. This is a visual effects heavy commercial.

Set to air later this year, once visual effects are completed. The cut will be on TV and web.

I acted as lead editor for this rock bands music video. The clip went on to get over 17,000 views.

In addition to lead editor, I was requested to act as assistant editor, post producer, VFX editor and online editor. In the vein of Stranger Things, I utilized my eclectic creative side to imbue the film with a sense of nostalgia for films from 80’s and 90’s. The film is due out in the fall of 2018.

Citizen Jones had me responsible for working as an additional editor with two other editors on a syndicated show for History Channel and the C2 network. The shows were documentary/reality based. I also acted as an assistant editor before getting promoted to Editor.
