• Conducts all story calls. o Sends production, Creative Team sumamries for approval o Research hunting regulations – GMU, State, Subsistence o Ensures proper permits are attained and up to date o Research locations/land ownership on which land permits need to be attained o Gathers detailed supply list from cast and shares with production o Follows up with cast and creative teams on creative viability o Researches the legalities of every story o Helps production with crew lodging, and travel to location logistics, if needed o Communicates with cast with any date/logistic/story changes • Communicates daily and works in tandem with production teams to reduce any surprises that may arise • Communicates with Creative and Executive Teams regarding any possible creative changes • Participates in all story/safety meetings • Writes all stories and creative documents for field team • Overseems and is liason between translators and post production teams for translations and pronunciations • Attend all rough cut screenings and give notes Duties as assigned of the following: • Logistics Planning -Attending story calls as needed -Working with creative to outline each leg need including crew, entrance logistics, timelines, story needs, crew location needs, camera needs, & exit logistics • Permits -Researching with cast and creative to ensure proper locations -Completing applications -Communicating permit requirements to cast & crew -Coordinating back to Post Production with details and specifics • Charters -Booking & Logistics -Sourcing new vendors • Calendars, Production & Launch Schedules -Working with creative to create schedules based on story and cast needs -Communicating changes in schedules to entire team • Approve & Oversee all Expenditures -Confirming all credit cards, AP, & reimbursements are properly coded and filed - Field and Anchorage crew payroll – Timecards, rentals, mileage and perdiem -Working with KA to follow budgetary guidelines • Hiring & Interviewing / Team Management – PA’s, in Location PA’s, boat and equipment operators etc, Safety Managers, Drivers, new hires (ANC Office) etc -Onboarding new crew, position overview calls, new hire screening, sending welcome emails, facilitating rate negotiations and final confirmations on deals -Setting protocols for ANC PO & creating a safe, respectful work environment -Oversight of training • Rentals (Vehicles, Snowmachines, Boats, ATVs, Camera Equipment, Misc Gear) -Source, advise, price research & secure, finalize rates, payment timing and structure -Communicate with APM to make sure paperwork and payment is handled • Insurance, Incident Reports, Workmans Comp, Questionnaires -Point of contact for incidents & insurance -Claim reporting & follow up -Documentation & Organization • Emergency & Daily Point of Contact for Field Crew & Production Crews – on call. - Problem solving with crew infield, resupply needs (story & production), L&D replacements, injuries, sickness, crew swaps etc. • Story Supplies – Overseeing sourcing, pricing, approvals, acquisitions, shipping etc • Communications Management & Oversight -Daily coordination and communication with positions above and below PM -Follow up, distribution and reconfirmation of all details pertaining to all aspects of production planning and execution across departments • Deliverables - Working with Post Production for all Production Deliverables – Permits, Legal, Releases etc.
